Help need a rescue A member just posted on an old thread about a meet up in wisconsin her user name is saymarilyn about a yorkie in bad need of rescue in Wisconsin. I can help get this dog but can't keep her. Does anyone know if one of our rescue people on here can help? I will be leaving in 10 minutes to do to a meeting for the shelter I volunteer at and can ask but I would rather a yorkie rescue get her. I can get her tomorrow if needed and keep her for a few days if needed. my cell is 847-744-2396 if someone can help and the lady who has her's number is 608-432-3828. Thanks |
If i were closer id help ya! :) |
I talked to the lady who has the yorkie and she is from a friend who is 90 years old and a breeder. She talked her into stopping breeding as she couldn't handle it anymore. This is one of the last of the breeding females. She said she possibly has some brain damage. She is 2 years old, not spayed, needs some dental and is nervous around people but fine with dogs and cats. This person is working on socializing her and potty training. If anyone can help please let me know, I told the lady I would try and help her. She can keep her for a few days. She lives near Wisconsin Dells which is about 4 hours from me but will meet part way. Thanks |
any ideas to help this one find a home? |
Sorry, I'm not associated with a rescue and can't help, but wanted to bump you up. Have you posted in the rescue section as well? Sometimes people who are only interest in certain topics don't come to the general discussion area too so you may want to consider a thread over there as well. Bless you for trying to help save this baby. |

The 608 phone number is the person who has her. She has had her a few days and has 6 cats and 6 dogs and cannot keep her. I asked her why she felt she was brain damaged and she said her pupils are always diltated( she said all black) and kind of bug out. She is afraid of people but gets along with dogs. She said she got into burrs at her house and she cut her coat. She sent a picture to my dtr's cell phone and it was hard to tell much but she looked scraggly. She did look to be 4-6 lbs. She will turn over to a rescue but not a shelter. She is working with the dog on getting her potty trained and use to people. One YT person called me and she may be able to get her but can't keep her either. I will call the lady who has her and give her the number of YTNR. I don't believe she has a computer. Thanks I am so hoping we can find her a home. |

Blossom is being picked up by Yorkie Rescue as I type. I did put in an application for one of the rescues about Blossom after I talked with the gal who has her. Blossom will be going to Galina, IL for evaluation and medical work then she will be placed in an appropriate home. I was so glad to hear from the lady who does the rescuing up here. And I am very happy for Blossom. :) |
Great job Cyndy!!!! Thanks so much for getting Blossom on her way to freedom and a loving home!!!! |
