wow! what a good girl!!! milu just stole a piece of treat from the coffee table. i don't like her stealing things. so i told her to "leave it!" and she left it!!! i couldn't believe that she drop a piece of dried beef liver that she already started chewing in her mouth! i am so proud of her! what a big improvement! i remember the last time she took a piece of treat i didnt' want her to have, because the piece was too big, she ran and i ran after her. by the time i caught her, she swallowed the whole thing, i couldn't believe she didn't chock. she is growing up to be such a good girl! i am so proud of her. now we just need to get her to not steal anything! wonder if that's possible? |
Way to go, Milu! And way to go, mommy, for teaching her manners. ;) The new avatar is sooooooo cute, Milu is even more adorable than I remembered her to be. |
What a good girl!:D |
good girl! If I give Sugar a treat she will immediately run off with it.....then bring it back to me because it's too big and she wants mommy to break it up for her  |
It's amazing when they respond to "leave it". When I took Gus to training I decided not to spend time on this command thinking it wouldn't work. The instructor had him do it one time in the class. Subsequently, without any practice I told him "leave it", & he did. WOW, was I ever amazed. I'm still amazed. You have a good little girl. |
YAY Milu!!! I'm still working with Jackson on "Leave It" and "Drop It." He's wonderful at drop it when we're playing a game of fetch with his toys or something, he will always drop it on command; however, it's a different story when it's something sooo good, LOL. He's grown up with a 5 year old boy and a 1 1/2 year old girl who are constantly dropping food, throwing food, or holding it out for Jackson unknowingly, so Jackson's picked up this habit of grabbing things. The one thing that works for him 99.9% of the time if I need him to drop something (ex: he had lipgloss today!) I just say "Want a treat?" and he drops anything and comes running over to me, lol. So, it's not quite "Leave it" but it works! Congrats Milu! She's such a cutie. :D |
Don't they make you feel so proud when the do something you taught them?!! GOOD GIRL MILU!!! |
Thats a great accomplishment for your furbutt. When they listen it makes you feel good to know they are capable of learning. |
That is great! I've been able to get Joey to drop things, but nothing that's really tasty, what a good girl she is! You can teach her that certain places are off limits, and I think it's important to teach them that the coffee table is yours, and they can't help themselves to anything from it. Lol, I can just see you chasing poor little Milu around the house; I know with Joey if I chase he will swallow the whole thing! |
They are so smart arent they, good job for your mommy teaching you good things |
Wow! How did you teach her so well? I've tried repeatedly to teach Bailey leave it and drop it but she's HORRIBLE! She steals and the worst is when she gets things she shouldn't have like paper and runs away and will even growl and try to bite me when I catch her and try to get it. :( |
1 Attachment(s) Yay Milu! What a good girl! Here's a treat for you! Well, ask Mommy if you can have it. Maybe the boy will share. :p |
