I made the discovery,once,while camping,that ANTS are also attracted to underwear :eek: They ate the whole crotch right out! :yelrotflm:yelrotflm:yelrotflm
Nothin' left but a gaping hole (gives new meaning to edible undies!!)

Glad to hear it's not just me. Ginger does this all the time but she will take anyones underwear - my DH, my DD or mine! We have many that have been ruined because they were "punctured" by her tiny, sharp teeth. :eek:

When I sort laundry she is right there under my feet and will take off with some. Lately, I have been shutting the door to keep her out! She will also dig through the pile if I try to bury them and I have caught her pulling them out of the laundry basket through the holes. She's a nut! :rollingey

This is cracking me up! What a hilarious thread! :biggrin8:

Haha yes Teddy does the same thing! Clean or dirty he will run off with them! He likes my boyfriends boxers, wash rags and my socks also! Teddy is a brat so really anything that he can run off with he will!!

If this is such a problem for so many people, I don't understand why you just don't put your dirty clothes in a hamper with a lid :confused: My golden was getting garbage out and shredding it, so I had my dh build a larger garbage garbage can with a hinged lid out of wood so that my dog couldn't get into it. Problem solved. Seems a little easier with Yorkies since they are little and would not be able to get into a hamper.

All I can say is, I'm thankful these people don't have lids on their hampers, because if they did, we wouldn't have this hilarious thread. :D

My Harley loves the clothes hamper too, but he only gets into it when we have to go somewhere and have to leave him in the bathroom. We finally began removing the hamper. He would only pull my clothes out of the little holes through the hamper.(shirts and underwear) He wouldn't chew them up, just lay on them. I guess he felt like I was still there by lying on my clothes. I thought it was kind of sweet.

Sometimes it's not getting in the hamper, but a lot of hampers have the holes all up and down it and they pull the clothes through there.

Mr. Darcy would run off with my jogging shoes when he was such a tiny thing. Butt and head held high, I don't know how he even managed to carry one. Then he got into stealing company's shoes if they kicked them off. Eventually he digressed into trying to take their shoes off for them.
Dryer sheets are a real special prize, especially in 20,000 shreds.
Mr. Darcy is also into raiding visitors purses that land on the floor with their shoes. I just warn them that possession IS nine tenths of the law......:D
Who'd want to hamper such a comic effort?

These stories are so cute and hilarious. Bree is also a thief and a sneaky one at that. Every sunday morning when I seperate the dirty clothes she jumps in the pile and goes swimming in them, picks out all of my socks and hide them. It is the funniest thing to watch, she makes a game of it. When Im folding the clean laundry she stands by my feet to see if I will drop some socks. She steals anything that she can get her little paws on, one time she even stole my glasses.

No one is immune in our house > Take off your shoes , and Suzi will instantly take your socks right off your feet . She pulls and she tugs , until they are off! She shakes her reward in her mouth, only to go after the other sock on the other foot ! She is presistent , and will not give up until all socks are OFF!
Miely is our underwear girl. She prefers my teenagers underpants for some ungodly reason. Miely has done this behavior since she has been 2months ! Now at 4 months old not much has changed! Little one finds her treasure , drags one in her tiny mouth , proudly , and prances to a place play with her prize . They have many, many toys just for them! But our undies, and socks out their most favorite! :p if I try and stop her, she just runs away ,with them and hides !

When I remove my makeup, I throw the washcloth on top of my clothes to go in the hamper. Rebel and Lucy LOVE that dirty washcloth. They rub all over it and Rebel grabs it and tears off down the hall with it. It's a nightly thing to chase him down for it.

I have a hamper with a lid and it doesn't matter.Toby still manages to knock it over and get inside it.I thought about putting a weight inside it but figured if he was that intelligent he deserved his prize.:)

Bella, our old yorkie always stole my panties and would hid them under the bed and chew holes in the crotch....no one elses, just mine.

Our new baby, Marlee loves my hubby's dirty socks and drags them around. Today she took my underwear and I was not happy! I still haven't got my undie wardrobe back up from Bella!:rolleyes:
