Advise on Husky behavior 1 Attachment(s) I have been looking on the web but have not found an activity forum on Huskies like there is on yorkies. My son recently left for his first year of college. His 5-year-old husky, Saphire, took one of my yorkies toys as her own. (Saphire has NEVER played with or shown interest in toys before.) She keeps this toy in her mouth all the time; she takes it outside with her to use the potty (see picture) and tries to talk with it in her mouth. My yorkies want their toy back but are affraid to pick up the toy. Has anyone experienced this with one of their Yorkies or another dog? Does anyone have any insight why she has adopted this toy? |
Maybe she's using it like her "baby". She is probably upset that your son left and is using this as a comfort item. Poor baby....she's a cutie though. |

Thanks for the replies. I spend time with Saphire during the day and she stays upstairs with my daughter when she gets home from school. Saphire is very low key, she doesn't like being outside or going for walks. When my son was home the two of them just hung out in their bedroom. I have told the yorkies, "DO NOT TOUCH Saphires baby". |
Maybe you can find another exact toy for the yorkies. I too say let the husky have it. If she has never shown any interest in toys let the poor girl have this one... Poor baby girl missing her daddy. |
