Hi, I just Wanted to Introduce Myself 3 Attachment(s) Hello, My name is Sheila and my little dog's name is Dan. I'm an artist, designer and brand new mom (just had my little girl a 9 weeks ago) living in Los Angeles. I had a crazy summer with a little thing I created called Free Katie (about Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise going nutty). I sold a bunch of shirts and got lots of publicity that I never expected. Since they seem to be on a break from sofa jumping, I have been able to work on my art again and my yorkie site Hollywood Yorkie (I'd love any advice or feedback btw) Also if any of you would like to contact me to add your sites or goodies to my links page that would be cool too. Here are some pictures of Dan. Thanks so much for making me feel welcome. I love being a part of a new community. :aimeeyork |

Welcome to yorkietalk! We're so glad you and Dan joined the group ;) We look foward to getting to know you both. I've visited your Hollywood Yorkie site a few times, its really cool  the Free Katie site is a hoot lol.. Too funny :p |
1 Attachment(s) Thanks guys. The Free Katie thing was such a fluke but it was a really fun summer tracking their wacky behavior. Hopefully they will be up to some more foolish-ness before the holidays and I can do another batch of t's. Hollywoodyorkie is mostly a labor of love inspired by some of my ebay buyers who were so nice and excited by my paintings. I'll be putting more stuff up over the next few weeks so stay tuned and feel free to send me any requests for products or paintings. Here is daddy dearest and Dan with the new baby...hee hee. Always room for a yorkie snuggle. |
i liked your oil painting with the two women by the pool..... the lights in teh background and the way you did the lights was really creative. Who would you say your inspiration was for youre artistic style? lol.......... oh sorry, and welcome to yorkietalk :p ..... hehe, can you tell i love art? im partial to acrylics though, they are easier to work with for me and they dry quickly ;) |
Ooooo, I'd love to see some of your work if you have some posted. I love checking out art on the web. I prefer oils, especially for my large pieces, but I find acrylics capture yorkies better! Here is my portfolio if you'd like to see more of my work: Sheila Cameron's Portfolio I'm not sure what style I would say inspires me but I really try to capture a feeling or an emotion lately. Sometimes I try to go more abstract based on places and events I've been to (like the girls by the pool). Sometimes I just go for the realism and that seems to sell well. Thanks so much for the great feedback. Sheila |
Welcome to YT! You have a VERY nice family... |
