When I got home from class today, Jackson just looked sooooo bored, so I stuck him in the car and we found a dog park that we had never been to before, he really had a blast! Mostly bigger dogs were there so he didn't do as much rough-housing as he did chasing (and running!) lol.

Then we got home, and he went gallivanting through the fields (the 90 acres of farmland behind us we don't own - it's our "neighbors" who own it, but it's a pretty backyard view, huh?) He likes to chase butterflies.

So, Jackson had a very fun day. I was feeling guilty because he's kinda been cooped up in the house all week and not getting as much exercise lately, so he's VERY tired right now.

All credit goes to my iPhone for snapping these vids/pics. Ahh what would I do without it? ;)

It looks like he had a great day! I love to take mine to my grandparents they have a huge backyard and they go crazy! It is so fun!

And yes, he hops like a bunny rabbit! lol.

What beautiful countryside! The videos are great, but wow, I, totally, admire your nerves of steel having him around all those big dogs!!! You're probably right, and I'm not lol, but I would have been so nervous w/him around all those big dogs!!! Funny thing is, my last "best friend" was an English Mastiff...She weighed 180 lbs. and was the most gentle dog around small dogs and babies I've ever seen...But I knew her, and trusted her completely...Did you know those other guys, before today?

The way I look at it: you can't spend your entire life worrying about everything. Dogs gotta be dogs - big or small. No, I had just met all those days that day but they were all VERY laid back, really mellow dogs. I also trust Jackson.... because in general, it's the little dogs who start stuff and get the big dogs goin', and then the big dogs get the bad rep, lol. Jackson doesn't egg any of the big dogs on, he keeps his distance, waits for them to approach him, Jackson kind of just walks around and smells everything and checks everything out. So yeah, I trust my dog and I trusted the other dogs. If dogs sense your fear or weak energy, they're definitely going to pick up on it and that is when fights may happen. So I prefer to just stay calm and cool and let the dogs do their thing. :D If I sensed that any of the dogs were getting irritated with Jackson, or agressive one bit, I would have taken him out of the situation calmly and left, but there was none of that. Also - Jackson is about 13lbs and he's alot of more study.

I did think he was a rabbit at first! Then he popped out and showed his cute self. I just love his full tail! :)

Thanks Britster...yeah, he is a bit bigger and sturdier, so I think I'd be more relaxed, under those circumstances too...But like the previous post, I love his tail!!! If I had my "druthers", I'd wish Apple had her tail...She's not a show-type doggy, so there was really no reason to cut it off, and I think they cut hers too short anyway...I really think the big fluffy tail is so much more natural and attractive....

Great videos!! I just love the bunny rabbit in the first one! LOL Looks like he had a great time at the dog park too. I wish we had a dog park in my town.

I could sit and stare at that view ALL DAY!!!! :eek: Its truly amazing. Then to have that cute little bunny hoping yorkie go by was absolutely adorable.

Lol, aw, yeah I actually love his full tail too!! Apple is such a sweetheart though!! The little nubs are cute too :)

Yep, that's the one great thing about our house is our view!! It's awesome to wake up to every morning! Jackson just absolutely adores all the land - he's a country dog deep down :p

Aw, it's a shame you don't have a closeby dog park :( I love bringing Jackson to the dog parks because he has such a fun time. We have quite a few in this area but there's only one that's like ginormous. It's rated like #2 in the country for dog parks or something in Annapolis, it's really nice.

Okay, Thor is green with envy now, green at the space, green over Jackson's tail, and green over Jackson's size! Thor can't get through grass if it's too tall, poor little munchkin. He totally looks like a bunny hopping across the park though.

Oh, he's also jealous of Jackson's calm, cool demeanor with other dogs. ;)

Thanks for sharing a day in Jackson's life. He's so cute & having a blast. He's got a wonderful place to live too.

Roxy does real well around big dogs too. There are times when I think I should worry a little, then I remember how incredibly fast & agile she is that my worry level shrinks right down & they all have a good time. I don't think a big dog has a chance to do her much harm. Her reaction timing is so instant that it almost seems like she sees what's coming before it even happens & reacts accordingly. I'm sure there are exceptions, but having seen her with big dogs of various kinds, I don't worry like I did.

Aww, poor little guy! Hey, Thor seems to live a pretty darn good life though with a great mommy - no need to be jealous of Mr. Action Jackson over here. :p

Oh yeah - Jackson is sooo fast, he could slip away very easily, LOL. It's so hysterical when he's got the big dogs chasing him and he does these whips and turns that they could never do!

Jackson looks so cute playing with the big dogs. :heart to It is nice to see dogs having fun at the dog park. One day, I want to take Josh to a dog park. Hopefully, Josh will enjoy the dog park as much as Jackson. The YouTube videos are adorable. I love the way he prances when he runs. :)

Lol, yeah, he's a prancer. Josh is such a cutie!
