Have a question? I live in the New York area and need to find a small puppy teacup yorkie. Now what do these puppies run for or are there shelters where you can adapt one? Thank you for the help. This is a gift for a friend and she has wanted one for over 3 years. She said these little dogs are very expensive... is this true? Thank you so much!!! |
I heard that tea cup yorkie are sick all the time... I can`t help you how much they cost because I don`t know... |
Whew how exciting!!! 1st things 1st, find a good breeder. (Oh and by the way, there's no such thing as teacups in this breed). They range in size. I would really do your research before choosing a pup. I bought one here in Arizona for $1300 and one for $500. Let me tell you there is no difference in the quality, but you have to know what to look for. There are some excellent resources on this web site. Good luck and :congrats: |
Please do all the research you can before you purchase. There are alot of responsible and great breeders on this site! Good luck in your search! |
A Yorkie Baby! I am glad it has already been said to you....that there is not teacups in the yorkie breed (LOL). Anyways please, please, please, do not get one (or any other animal) until you research. Coming here was a good first step *welcome*. Under 4 pounds can cost a little more than the one that weighs 5-7 pounds. A breeder can guess by the size of parents (which is usually about the size of parents) and stuff but can not really guarantee you size. Princess's mom was 4 1/2 pounds and her father 4 pounds Princess weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces. Some breeders use the word teacup to charge more. Yorkshire Terriers are small breeds anyway. Great for small living spaces! Prices vary from back ground history, sex of pup, size (that they believe pup will be ) also where the pup is located. So if you are looking for a guess on price $1,000 (?) give or take. Just make sure you take your time and research about the breed, about breeders, and keep asking questions. I read threads on here for a year or longer before I got my first yerk (not including books, breeders, vets, owners, etc.). Good luck! |
