Two Puppies How many crates I am bringing my puppy home September 1st. I have been given the opportunity to get my puppy's sister at the same time. Am I crazy? My question is these puppies weigh a little over 2 pounds each. Should I start them out in the same crate and then offer a second a little later? |
That's great. I would love to get 2 at the same time that are sister's. If they are use to being together I would just keep them in one crate. They will be less lonely when you're not there. Just get one that is big enough for both. Can't wait to see pictures. |
How old are they? If they are very young, I would crate them together for a while since they are probably used to sleeping together, maybe that way they wouldn't cry alot. Congrats on your new babies:D |
I suggest one crate for the two of them. Since they are brother and sister, they are used to being together and will sleep better next to one another. |
I agree with Patti, since they are used to being together, I would get a big enough crate for the both of them. |
They will be 10 weeks old when I bring them home. The crate that I have is 22' long, 13' wide and 16' tall. There is a divider in the cage if I end up with only one. I thought one crate to start off but as they get older and bigger I would offer a second crate. They will most likely weigh between 5 to 7 pounds as adults. Thank you for all the input that you have given me. |
:confuse2: are you sure you've got your measurements right? |
