Where...OH where is the TV remote?????? ATTN ALL: Missing long black box with many buttons, called TV clicker/remote, husband has gone NUTS, cant find it. FOUND IT!!!! Outside, in several pieces, the "GOAT" (Chelsea, 14 lbs Yorkie) ate it this AM! It SAT, on our den coffee table, as of last night, so the crime was committed early AM, while I was on my computer, distracted. She did come in with some plastic spongy thingy in her mouth, so I traded with her, a doggie biscuit for the spongy black thingy. I had no idea what it was, thought maybe the wind brought it into our yard, so it went into the trash. Then at noon, hubbie comes home for lunch.....EEEEEEKKKKK! Good thing I prepared a good meal. I showed him the black thingy, and he said he had no idea what it was....off he went to watch TV...thats when the crime scene was discovered. When he asked, have you seen the TV remote? Like a lightening flash, we both ran outside, and there it was, with Chelsea skipping around, proudly! "LOOK what I DID, DAD!" "WHAT no doggie biscuit?" "HMMMMMPHHHFRF!" (It was a little humorous-after she broke it up in pieces, she had tried burying it, in the flower bed!) SIGHHHHH, Chelsea'sMOM :aimeeyork |
That's one way for her to get everyone to stop watching tv and play with her more. :D |
haha Can you send your Goat to my house ? My hubby watches too much tv and if my remote turned up missing he'd look right at me . that was funnnnnnny ! You're poor hubby...if he's a true man - he'll have a remote stashed somewhere for backup |
LOL!! :p I have a goat here too! His name is BENTLEY!! As a matter of fact, he's been getting into my purse! First he started pulling out make up out of my make up bag.....then several days ago he managed to get dollar bills out and they were strewn about the hallway.....And this morning my DEBIT/CREDIT CARD is missing from my purse and I had to report it lost!!! I had it last night and the only explanation I can come up with is...you guessed it...BENTLEY!! If some new greenis and/or new duds suddenly appear...he's busted!!! :D :p LOL! |
Lol, at the vet's office they put a note in Chewy's file: "Dietary Indescretion". |
My husband would have killed my girls!! As it is today I noticed pieces of wood all over my house. I couldn't find where it came from, until this afternoon. I went on a hunt and found that my husbands very old victrola (1927) has its leg chewed up... Don't tell him ssssshhhhh |
Dietary indescretion.. That's funny! LOL |

Haha, goat! LOL! I must say, Sully would be in big twubble too if he chewed up our TV remote! We have like 4 remotes but we need them all to get the system to work, LOL. |
Thats funny! You are so good at telling stories, very entertaining!!! From now on I will tell you my stories and you can jazz up my threads for me :D |
How funny! That is one thing my dogs havent tried to destroy. Good thing too cause my Hubby would get them. |
Chelsea's mom, That story is hilarious. I agreed with Shana I love the way you told the story. Chelsea the Goat, :lol tears too funny. Im glad Gucci has never chew on the TV remote because her daddy will not be happy, :p . |
HA HA HA! That's so funny.... my boyfriend would kill me if one of my dogs ate his remote! Goat dog...I love it :) |
ROFLMAO!!!!!! She was so proud, too!!!!! |
Awwwwwww, Shucks.... Thanks for the nice comments about Chelsea's chewing adventure today. I am still in shock that she actually took it out doors and destroyed the black box with buttons, thingie. As per husband, it wasnt 5 min. before he had another remote programed....SIGHHHHH. MEN! I still think that Chelsea is very proud of herself...SHE conquered, and we got to see her dad look like a silly man, running around searching, under the cushions of the sofa for THE THINGIE!!! More hilarious was the burial ground, where the black box was going...it was nice and big! Chelsea'sMom :aimeeyork |
lol!!!!!! that is hysterical!!!! we have a little goat too...his name is tucker! |
NOT funny.... Day 3 after the loss of the black thingie with buttons.... Yesterday, she ate the Sunday newspaper, a part we had not read yet. She took it outdoors and had a confetti party. Does Chelsea just like to see Mommy bent over or what???? Today, she pulled down a triangle pillow I had on a shelf, and tore a corner, and a stuffing party was held in our den. I just knew she was too quiet! HEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPP :( :( :( ...does this behavior ever stop? WHAT am I doing wrong? She has plenty of toys, and we give her TONS of attention. This is worse than chasing a 2 year old, she is eating our home! I yelled at her, scolded her loudly, and she did her submissive position, on the floor, belly up, so obviously she understands this behavior isnt tolerated. Anybody got any ideas???? Feeling hopeless, Chelsea'sMOM |
Aww, im so sorry that she is being chewing on things she is not supposed too. Gucci chew on things she wasn't supposed too when she was teething. I used bitter apple spray and tell her no. I hope Chelsea grows out of it. I find this info on the ASPCA website, hope is useful. |
Princess wouldn't touch the remote, But Mandy our Rotti did. I wasn't happy, as Cox Cable charged $50.00 for a new one! Glad to say I wasn't home when she did it. I made my husband pay for it, because he should have been watching her! Men!! Gotta love them! LOL Now paper, that's a different story, Princess loves paper, I have no idea why, but if she gets some, she has it all over the house in no time! Gift's under the tree! Not in this house, I wait for Christmas Eve, I felt bad last year, all she wanted was the paper, and all I did was rewrap gifts!!!! Yorkies!! Gotta love them!! LOL |
Normal Yorkie???? Thanks Marie, I read the link you sent. Seems we are doing everything correct, I just thought by 10 months, Chelsea wouldnt be chewing on our household items. Other thing, is that we have always had poodles, she is our first Yorkie, and maybe we expect poodle behavior. Somebody, puhhhhlllleeeze, tell me, I have a NORMAL Yorkie! When I found the pillow, this AM, I shouted at her, and now she hardly comes near me, and if she does, she puts her ears back and tail down, so I guess she knows she was a BAAAAAD GIRL. I have used apple bitter, but its hard to spray everything in the house...LOL! Anybody sell that stuff in buckets?????? Chelsea'sMom :aimeeyork |
Wow Sounds like you have your hands full!!! We had a problem with bentley doing stuff like that. We just kept telling him no. Our biggest problem was when he started to eat the carpet in our apartment...we ended up putting red pepper on it...one lick and he never touched it again..Thank god!! As far as paper tho..when he'd steal some and tear it up..we would take it away and just say NO. seemed to work pretty well |

Until today Mellie has only been interested in chewing any kind of paper. Today she decided my antique fainting couch (Circa 1890) needed some refinishing work done. It was very quite in the living room and I should have known something was up. There was the little princess in all her glory chewing on the back. They know just how to get to you too! There she is with those big black eyes just looking like you still love me right. :p |
