Elvis almost got away today! We recently took in a coworker's dog who is not used to being on a leash. We have had him 3 weeks and it has gotten better. Today I was out with both dogs on leashes and a neighbor walked by with his dog. Elvis barked (he gets worked up about other dogs) and then somehow managed TO GET OUT OF HIS HARNESS! Thankfully the other dog was scared of him (who wouldn't be the way he barks!!) because she is 3 times his size!! Do your yorkies find ways out of their harnesses?? We have another yorkie and she has never had an issue with this. I was shocked it happened! |
No, Rockie has never been able to get out of his. ls it possible it was not secure enough, attachments can sometimes be defective. |
Yes, dogs can slip out of harnesses, sort of the way a person would out of a tshirt. One way to prevent this is to attach the leash to the harness AND the collar. |
The harness was still connected to the leash so I know it isn't defective.... How would I connect the leash to the harness and the collar?? |
