That's something I can't watch. I did watch a show on AP showing his dog's and how loving they actually were. Only a couple were to far gone to save. The majority got loving homes. I rather be left with that image in my head. I hope MV never has a day of peace and when his time comes, he goes feet first, straight to he!!. |
i don't care for the guy. i think he is just on a big publicity stunt so he can play football again. he seems like a phony to me. |
this particular show i think first aired a few months ago, so its not a new thing he's doing for money. I actually liked it because it showed the investigation part, plus statements from Vick, and it showed the dogs as well. It had some information about the case that i didn't know before, like how much money he's had to pay so far because of what he's done. It was a lot and he's still paying for it. In one scene, after he was sentenced, he made a public apology and truly looked sorry for what he had done. At the end it showed the dogs that went to different rescues (other then Dog Town). Dog town had taken the dogs that needed more work (there was an episode of Dog Town that showed this). Bad Rap Rescue took about 10 others which weren't as bad. These dogs have all been adopted out. Some to families with children and one is even a therapy dog. It showed that even tho these pit bulls were treated like crap, they still loved people and wanted to please them. Some pits were adopted out together as well, because they still loved being with other dogs. i think it was good to watch. |
I guess it was in Sunday's paper that I read he hung dogs in trees, electrocuted them in his swimming pool and it said he even threw his own pets in the pit and laughed as they were being torn apart. Personally, I think he should never play pro ball again. I don't buy his apology. I think he has money signs in his eye. He wanted to play ball again. I wish they had thrown him so far back in prison he would never see day light again. Giving him a dose of what he did to those poor animals wouldn't hurt either. He'll get his one of these days and he is going to really pay. |
Animal witness Michael Vick I started the original thread on the rehiring of Michael. It went on for awhile. I made several additional comments. One was about seeing him on 60 minutes. I said I wasn't going to comment anymore. However, my reaction to his 60m minutes interview can still be found on the orginal Michael Vick thead, toward the end of it. I can't watch the actual exposure of it on Animal Planet. I can't watch any animal cruelty stories on TV. I can't even watch the animal shelter ads. I just can't let it go after I've seen it. I am very aware of everything that goes on. I just get too emotional when I watch it. Tucker's Mom |
The harder it is for so many to watch, i am all supportive of showing it ! Nude and crude it needs to be shown. It is a shocking way of bringing awareness. But more shocking is what human beings are able to do and how cruel our own "breed" can be. I think some other activists groups are sensational, i will not say the name because the purpose of this forum is not to argue but to show the real investigations and all it is a great way to show the regular every day citizen the importance of everyone taking a step forward to defend the ones that can not speak for them selves. I believe even if you are not a "dog" person, a "cat" lover a, "rooster" owner... we all get the picture, it is still our responsibility as humans to step up for those who can not speak for themselves. |
I'll DVR it, thanks for the info. I have watched the "Vicktory" Dogs at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the show is called "Dog Town" it is on the National Geographic channel. If the dogs are the main reason for watching the show and you cant stand to see MV, check out clips from the show on line, or at hulu.com. www.bestfriends.org. |

I just say give him a chance to prove himself. Like the Humane Society guy said in an interview, he said that if Vick fails, they won't look like a fool, Vick will be the one who looks like a fool. I figure if the Humane Society can forgive him and God can forgive him, so can I. Just my opinion and we all are entitled to our opinions. You can do whatever you want. |
