My bitch in heat is actually a very healthy boy! Hey everyone, A couple of months ago I wrote about other dogs trying to hump my terrified Humphrey. I blamed it on the fact that Humphrey is quite tiny and docile. Therefore I assumed it was easy for them to act dominant around my baby. Today, however, a dog came to sniff Humphrey then licked his belly and then got very excited and tried to hump him. The owner came to me and said something like "its obvious your little girl is in heat" to which I laughed and said "not very obvious to me, because this is a little boy"... the owner then grabbed the dog and pulled it away from my boy. Then a couple of hours later, we go for his next pee walk and meet a different dog, same story. The owner gets a little annoyed because I am parading my bitch in heat and her dogs are very distracted and endangering her pets (not my fault she was walking two labradors off the leash). And when I tell her Ive no idea what shes ranting on about because my dog is a boy, she says she is just very confused, grabs her dogs and doesn't even say sorry... What is wrong with my baby? He is the apple of my eye, but Im getting worried. He could get hurt! |
Aw, there is nothing wrong w/ your little fella, he is just too universally attractive for his own good :). Perhaps he rubbed/rolled on something that other dogs are smelling right now. I do think you're very smart to worry about his safety, like you said. I think as long as you keep his leash on and your eyes peeled, hopefully you'll avoid any dogs sneaking up on you. Maybe ask your vet about this too? |
