fake sneezes
 
Whenever Turky is getting a lot of attention he 'sneezes'. I could swear it's totally fake because he seems to only do this when we are focusing on him. Does anyone elses yorkie do this? It totally cracks me up.

Sounds like it could be a Reverse Sneeze -- they are more prone to do it when they are excited. So, when they are getting extra attention, would be a normal time for it to be exhibited.

I would check out youtube videos for Reverse Sneeze and Collapsed Trachea -- just ot make sure it is not the more serious CT. But I doubt he is faking, probably the Reverse Sneeze.

OMG- my Baci does that!!!! He does it on purpose to get our attention when he wants up to play with him! I think it's so cute! :p It does sound like a sneeze or a snort.

Lilly does this... except she does it when she isn't getting all the attention.

Drives me nuts but always makes me laugh!!

Morgan sneezes too to get attention sometimes. its funny. its totally a sneeze and not a reverse one. She also sneezes when i ask her to speak for some reason. I"ll say speak and she'll sneeze, so i'll say it again, she'll sneeze, "speak" again and finally she's "woof". i have no idea why she started sneezing instead. its quite funny tho. i'm thinking i should train her to sneeze on command as well since she already does it. i just need to train her to do it on a new cue.

omg Lilly does this too when I tell her to speak!!! She'll do it like 2 or 3 times before she'll actually bark! LOL

lol Yep!, yep!..it's too cute! Definitely not a reverse sneeze. A very dramatic fake sneeze. Much like you guys were saying...he does it when we're looking at him and he knows we're talking about him. He's a character!

Buddy use to do this all the time!!

The first sneeze would be real!

Then I would say Bless you!

Then the little guy would do a fake sneeze, two or three more times! Just to hear Bless You!!!

Then something else would catch his thought, and we would move on!

But he did this for quite of few years!!!

God, I miss him

Alexander does this, too!! He's 13 1/2 now, so we use his sneeze to tell when he's in the mood to play. We used to have whole sneeze conversations with him - he'd sneeze, I'd sneeze, he'd sneeze, I'd sneeze.... It's so cute. He's the only one of mine that's ever done that.

Nope, Maxi only sneezes when he sticks him nose where it doesnt belong and collects too much dust lol. But he sneezes so loud for a little dog lol

OMG - Harley does this when he is playing with Sam and Sam gets to rough with him or if I am scolding him for something. It is the funniest thing ever. He actually sneezes several times in a row (like 7 to 10 times) It is totally a fake sneeze and not an inverse sneeze.

My Aubrey Lulu does this! She does it when we have been playing and she wants to play more, or she wants attention, at least to me. I think its cute because she tosses her hair at the same time!
