wrought iron fence help We move into our new house in just over a week and need to figure out a way to keep Ella and Jack inside the yard. There is a wrought iron fence around the entire yard, but they could get through the cracks if they wanted too (and they will since they have friends next door). We have deer mesh on the wrought iron around our apt. balcony which is also wrought iron. I have also seen some plastic/metal mesh that is 18-24" tall attached to wrought iron fences when I golf (to keep small puppies in). I have tried to google it and can't seem to find anything. Does anybody know what I am talking about or where I might find it? Thanks so much! |
We have white vinyl fencing around our patio area. Spaces too big for yorkies. We lined it with 2"x4" metal fencing & attached with those white nylon ties. I think you can buy it in different gauges, so you can get what you think would work best. Thought it would look tacky, but it's hardly noticable. It's working out really well. DH bought it by the roll at Tractor Supply or Menards. I think he got he got the 36" high size. I'd have to go look & too tired right at the moment. |
Try Home Depot. I got a roll of plastic fencing from them. I found it in the garden section. I tried to get a link for you, but they don't show it on their site, but they do have it. Good luck. |
I think its called chicken fence. |

Chicken wire attached to the fence and bent onto the grass will keep them in. If you have bunnies around, they can fit in those holes as well!! |
try this It might cost a little more but I saw were some one took a iron fence sections and serperated the bars the cut the about 2 ft long pieces and steaked them in betwen their existing fence. It looked really nice. |
Home Depot has two kinds. They have a green plastic chicken fence...then, there is a black one that has even smaller holes. I am not sure if it is also called a chicken fence and I am also not sure if it is in the same area of the store. The black one definitely looks better. It is sold by the roll. I have used it and used plastic tie wraps to secure it. |
