Thanks everybody so much. It was really nice to wake up and read all the lovely comments! I really felt like she was sent from above :) I didn't mention after the thunderstorm and on our way home the sky just imediately cleared up! She is just like a younger verison of my dear Stormy. I bet everything Stormy would of been if she was healthy and I bet she is watching out for us now! I thought maybe I was crazy for thinking something like "it was ment to be" but its nice to have people to believe in me.


Mscat you were not being negative at all, I don't mind someone putting it into your words as words of caution. My fiancee is not a trainer but for the past month he has taken to VERY strict training with her and she has improved a huge amount in the last month. We have increased her outdoor time and it has really helped alot with her attitude indoors. She's usually to tired to do anything but lay around. A fear of mine is and still will always be what happens when I am not home, but I am a mom and I worry about everything and anything when I am away from home! I have started to take Lola to work with me again the days that I can, and if I can't I am gone a few hours. My fiancee understands the dangers and has been very content to keep her safe. We have all stepped it up, my bullie isn't even aloud to "touch" her at all. No rough playing in the house PERIOD! If she wants to play with a toy, she gets put in the kitchen with her toy to play with the gate up. My daughter has become SO careful too. She is constantly on watch and saying things like " no Geneva you have to be careful because you can hurt Lola" She is always talking about something like that all day long now. She says it's her baby from Stormy and she has to keep her safe for Stormy! It is heartbreaking but it is so good to see her happy again. We were having a tough time with her the past month she was acting out really bad and when she would be put in her room sometimes she would cry for Stormy. She said to us when we were about to leave the ladies house " don't worry daddy I won't be sad any more ".

We are moving soon hopefully, still looking for the right place but we have a couple we like that we will check out this weekend. Each has more space and an extra room so one of the dogs can be in there if have to be. They both have crates, each goes in a crate in a seperate room when we are not home. And I don't even leave her in a room with my bullie if I am going pee! NO Chances! so far things have been excellent and my bullie has not even tried to play with her in the house. At the park though we play fetch and she enjoys Lola running a decent distance away from her.

what a sweet story, bless you for taking in that little sweetheart. :).. I dont see poodle either, I have a toy poodle and a yorkie/poodle mix and he looks nothing like your little lola. Congrats on your new baby and happy belated birthday..

First off I want to congradulate you and your family on rehoming Lola. She is absolutely adorable, and so darn cute. I love the picture of your daughter and her running in the yard. Yes, in my heart I feel Stormy led you to her. Your story of your daughters behavior in the past month broke my heart. And I know she is healing now. It sounds like the past month has been extermely hard for all of you, and you have learned a hard lesson. But you all have done wonderfully with your "bullie dog" Keeping them apart etc.
Enjoy Lola each and every minute, and she is a true gift for the three of you.

Just to add, I don't really see the poodle either. I've seen yorki-poos and they usually have some what of a curly hair. She may be chihuaha but her hair really feels so silky and straight it's weird! She may just have some mix down the line some where. I think once her hair grows in it will be beautiful I can't wait for it!

This brought tears to my eyes. Your Lola looks just like my Suzi , I mean idenical, when she was shaved . I love her name too . Your little daughter is a precious girl. Thanks for sharing pictures of them together. Both Lola and Geneva looked so happy together:D This is a heartwarming story. I have to separate my two , a Shih Tzu puppy and Suzi our Yorkie at times when they play too rough . I just place Suzi in my bedroom for a cooling off time. She has never hurt our puppy who is going on 4 months. THey just get to playing rough , and it scares me. The growling and such.
Suzi is only about 7-8 Lbs but, Miely is only around 4-5 Lbs with very short legs . and a lot smaller body .SO glad your family is whole again. Congradulations. :)

I am just reading this now and I am so happy for you. I know that little Stormy sent this one to you because you were hurting so much. She is adorable and does look like she could be Stormy's baby. Your daughter is a very smart little one. So glad to hear that she is healing also. I am going to miss the stories about your Stormy, but I am looking forward to the stories about this precious Lola. Bless you for being so strong. As long as you never forget Stormy she will be alive in your heart. I just love Lola little face. Such a cutie pie. Thank you, I haven't cried in a few days and this brings tears to my eyes because this is just how I feel. I feel like she sent me this baby to keep me happy because I know that little dog loved me so much and I know that she exactly knew how much she ment to me and how terribly I miss her.
