Need Advice: chewing up the pee pad Hi All, Maxi used to be so good, he would go on his pee pad all the time but lately he has been going anywhere, and this morning on my rug!:2omg: So then we would put him in the expen for a little bit while we get ready for work and he proceeds to chew and rip up the whole pad!! He has been doing this for a few days now and I just cant understand why. He is never alone during the day so it cant be seperation anxiety, Im not sure whats up. We even spray the pad with that no-chew spray stuff and he still goes for it :fallen: Has anyone else been thru this? Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks! |

I had the same problem with my 3 puppies. I started using old white towels and they did fine. I also put the towel in a cat litter pan so that they don't spread it around. |
Hi! Juno did the same exact thing! It was almost as if his mission in life was to chew pee pads! I tried the washable ones, but he would just lay on those (ew!) So i got a pee pad holder from PetSmart ($25). I got the one that says "Floor protector" (it doesnt come in a box). The one by Simple Solutions, which comes in a box, is useless for me. It was so flimsy. This has solved our pee pad horror for now. Juno does try to get it out, but gives up when the pad doesnt come out. I also sprayed the edges of the tray with the bitter spary. Hope that helps! |

I use the washable type but I had laid down one disposable the other day and my adults got after it and chewed it up. Two of the adults got violently sick from swallowing some of the disposable pad. Please be careful when you use those for the safety of your yorkie. |

Have you tried a potty pad tray yet? That might help in your case, but Turk would always shred his unless I left him with a cloth pad. |
