PICK UP YOUR POOP!! ...a rant So I'm out with Maddie for our after dinner walk and I see her rolling around in the grass. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then I see her with something big in her mouth. I bend down and she has a HUGE piece of poop in her mouth!! I pull it out of her mouth (now THAT'S love!). The people in my apartment complex do not pick up their poop. It is so gross. It would be a little different if it were the size of Maddie's poop, it wouldn't be AS bad, but it is usually in a pile that is bigger than Maddie! It is not only dangerous to your dog, it is dangerous to themselves too! Ugh! Sorry, but I had to get that off of my chest... |
eww lol that is love.my dogs use to eat poop too. i switched their diet to better food and they dont eat it anymore they used to go nuts over poop cat poop, their poop, bird poop was so gross. think it means they are missing something in their diet. |
Thats so gross! We have someone here that lets her dog just poop on the sidewalk. It's so nasty. |
I feel your pain.. my apartment building is about the only one on base that allows pets so everyone that gets stationed here that has a pet moves into my tower. I would say about 10 people don't pick up their poop. They have even had complaints to the housing office and had put up notices to pick up your poop or you have to get rid of your pet or you will be fined. I don't know whats so hard about it. I have 3-4 doggy baggies for pickin up poop tied to their leads so I will never be in a predicament. |
I hate that! My complex allows pets. Actually let me rephrase that... my complex allows pets under 20 pounds. MIND U...these peoples pets are over 50! O.O! And if you have a pet that is not even allowed! At least pick up that 2 pound poop. Ughhh! I seriously get frustrated also =[. And what's so sad. We have these bag holders everywhere -.- the apts actually provide the baggies. Its just annoying people are too lazy to bend over and pick it up -.-. Blah! |
The park nearest to me used to be covered with poop. It was a vicious cycle; I think people looked around, saw the devastation, and figured they wouldn't bother picking up their poop either. There were bags available at that park as well. So sad. Someone made a big effort to clean the park up, and now it is much better, though there are still mountains here and there. Unfortunately between the big dogs that go there and Thor's massive neuroses, it's still not a great spot for us. |
I don't live in an apartment and we don't have any animals as of now. But when we lived in our first home in Baltimore, people would walk their dogs and for some reason they seemed to pick our yard to dump in. No big deal if the dog relieves themselves in my yard but it truly pisses me off when the owner doesn't have the decency to clean up after them and I'm the one doing the dirty work. Should these people really have the privileged of owning a pet if they can't take the responsibility to clean up after them. We bring our furbutt home the end of September and believe me I will have baggies with me when we go on walks. Luckily the neighborhood we live in now, the dog owners seem responsible and I haven't had to clean up after any of my neighbors dogs! |

yes! i hate cleaning poop between yogurts paws BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT HIS! i hate it when he steps on other dog's poop. i don't understand how some dog owners could be so irresponsible. and i do sincerely feel bad for the owners of the house right at the beginning of the trail that a lot of dog owners go on. there is so much poop just 2 meters away from their front lawn. they even made a big sign saying "don't poop and run, we know where you live" and have a post with bags on it for that purpose. |
I live in a subdivision and every now and then when I take Sasha for a walk, we'll encounter some poop either on the sidewalk or in someone's yard. I always take a bag to clean up hers if she happens to do her business. I was appalled one day when I was outside. A guy was walking his dog across the street and the dog stopped at a neighbors house, went by their mailbox and began to poop. The guy had a bag and was clearly going to pick it up. The owner of the house (the wife that is) happened to be outside and literally started screaming at him to get his dog off of her lawn and saying how she was sick of dogs sh*tting on her lawn and people leaving it there. Obviously the guy didn't want to pull his dog away while he was doing his business. The woman was furious that she began to squirt this man with her hose!!! I couldn't believe it! At least the guy was going to pick the poop up! Besides, technically the dog was pooping on the city's property so really he had every right to let his dog poop there. Gosh, I just don't know about some people. |
I don't get it either. Where I live, it's privately owned condo complex, so everyone sets their own rules as to how many and what size dogs to have. Naturally there is a variety of sizes and breeds. I hate having to walk from the parking lot to my condo and find poops the size of big soup bowls! I can't even walk on the grass without having to look down. What's worse, people blame it on the wildlife. We have wild bunnies running around all over the complex. I don't think bunnies make poop the size of big soup bowls. Kaji makes poops the size of fun sized chocolate bars, or smaller. It still doesn't give me the right to just leave it. If only everyone was as curteous. |
That really makes me mad when people let their dogs do that, just nasty thats what I say! |
