Tail? Ryder has a long not docked tail. I have been reading and preparing for my new pup and I keep reading about how having the tail not docked is dirty or unclean. I have had less issues with his long tail than with Roxies who is docked. Is it because he carries it up like a s**tzu or what? Just curious. |
My Silky has a docked tail and my Biewer does not. I haven't found that there are any differences whatsoever. The Biewer carries it curled up over his back. |
I have one with a long tail and he does not have any issues. I have some with short tails that I am always trimming hair due to issues. In the UK they do not allow tail docking. I believe the state of NY has also banned tail docking. It's just a matter of time before they will be forced to change the yorkie standard to include long tails. |
Jackson's got a full tail and I love it. I've had no issues whatsoever. If there were issues with a full tail then they would dock every breeds tail. I prefer the full tails because then you don't see their bun-hole sticking out all the time lol :p Actually, yorkies probably don't have that problem 'cause they're so small but the Boxers I dogsit, their butt hole is always just... THERE, and it bugs me LOL. |
I agree with the other posters. I have both and it is not different but if I don't keep the back end trimmed I have lots of trouble...poop pies...:D |
Thanks Everyone! Thanks! Like I said have been reading and it says in the standard that they like it short because it looks better and it is cleaner. But between my own two I havent noticed a difference as long as their booties are trimmed. Hmm... |
