I miss them already... 3 Attachment(s) Hurley and Roxy went to forever home yesterday. Their new family was so excited they had waited a whole year for pups. Saying bye was very hard - I cried alot. I really tried my best not to get attached and over all I think I did pretty good LOL I think the hardest part was watching Mom she so knew what was going on it was amazing. She started getting very upset and wouldn't calm down. Right before they took them while they were still in x-pen mom asked me to let her in with pups and to our amazement she started nursing them - she hadn't nursed at all anymore. That's when I just lost it :( Then they're putting pups in car and she jumps in and won't get out - she never does that. I go to take her out of car and she starts wiggling trying to get back in. Inside house she went to her bed and stayed there the rest of the day:( Do the mom's usually act this way? just wondering Here's some pics:D 1st one is Roxy 2nd is Hurley and last is mom kissing them bye bye |
I am so sorry! I dont breed and I dont know what usually happens. I am sure that your pups are going to a great home and will be more than loved! I could never say goodbye- thats why I cant breed! LOL Best of luck and just love on your girl! P.S. The pics are great! |
Oh my. That last pic is sooooo sweet!!! Wish i knew what to tell you, but we've never had pups! |
The last picture has me in tears. I could never breed because I would have to keep them all.. |
Oh your story broke my heart!! I don't have any advice for you at all, but your babies are all beautiful. I know I could NEVER breed - I would be the person crying and hanging onto the car as they tried to drive away with the babies!!! Good luck to you and mama. |
I'm a total mess now, poor mamma :aimeeyork I can't imagine what these Mom's feel or on what level they understand :( I could never do it..... but I'm glad there are caring people like you who do or we would all have puppy- mill babies and the entire breed would be a mess  I'm sure those new parents to your fur babies thank you as well :p |
That last pic is beyond SWEET! I could never do what you did! :( You should be so proud of yourself. You know they're in good, loving homes and you did the best you could! |
I have been moved to tears. I have never seen anything so unbelievably beautiful, moving, heartbreaking and joyous at the same time. I would have snatched those babies out of the car and called the deal off. I never have seen a mom look so much like a human mom. It was just the most touching picture I have ever seen and I hope you and their mommy have cuddled and comforted each other. Oh my, and they are all such absolutely STUNNING yorkies. I'm sure their forever family is thrilled but maybe they can come back to visit with mama soon? |
Your a brave lady! I cant imagine how you feel. I am sooo not looking forward to going thru this!!! Just reading your post brought tears to my eyes!!! My pups are 6 weeks on tuesday and I keep thinking the time is going by soooo fast. I want to keep them all but I know they will all be well taken care of in their new homes. I know all their new families will spoil them sooo much more than I could if I kept all 5. We are keeping one the biggest fatty boy Sherman Tank. I hope Bella Mia and I dont go through empty nest syndrome when all our babies are gone! |
Oh you poor dears!!!! I have to agree w/everyone else it seems like such a hard thing to do. That last picture is so moving and with it being a little blurry I can tell you were so upset taking it. Oh, I'm so sorry that they had to leave, but I agree that you did the right thing. Think of how happy you were when you got your baby, you just gave that to these families. I hope they stay in touch with you and you continue to see the babies grow up. (((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) |
Well, that settled it for me...If I EVER had a passing thought about breeding Apple, well, that's not gonna happen, now...I got tears in my eyes reading your story, so imagine if it was my story...Omg'sh I don't know how breeders can do this...I know someone has to do it, but I know it can't be me (or Apple)...I'm so sorry your sad, and hope you recover soon; I can imagine that was a rough row to hoe:( |
I am in tears....that last picture is precious!! My Livi just had her first litter and also my first Yorkie baby, too. :) Her litter was full of heartache (lost puppies after trying so hard to keep them alive) and now we only have one. We are BEYOND attached to him so I just know that we are going to have a hard time letting him go. Livi loves her baby like your fur girl does so I don't look forward to how she will respond. :( I am sorry that this was so difficult! Tammy |
oh my lord...i'm a ball of Mess right now! Tears tears everywhere!! I dont think i could ever be a breeder...id be in tears everyday! :( The pics just stole my heart |
That is so heartbreaking for the Mom. I can imagine how hard it was. |
Boy that really pulls on the heartstrings. I hope maybe you could have a little reunion someday. That would be fun. Your mama did a great job. They are just beautiful. She is a good mom. You should be very proud of her. |
I am the one that will be taking a pup from it's mom on Saturday and I have almost changed my mind thinking about the mom and how she will feel. I do plan on keeping in touch with the breeder and we have meet-ups once a month so the dogs and the breeder will be seeing him. I feel so bad now taking the pup away. Thanks a lot for making me feel bad (lol) when I was so thrilled that the time is near. |
Hi everyone, Thank You so much for all your comments and warm wishes. I pretty much knew this would be hard because I just love my furbabies so much. I do have to say I have much comfort in knowing that family will love them very much and spoil them rotten. They will pretty much have huge house and beautiful backyard to live in. The best thing is that from the beginning they wanted 2 so they went together. I don't breed often and only breed once I have interviewed and approved family. Mom and last pup Volcom are doing much better. We have her babies from our prior litter (they are 2 yrs old) that we ended up keeping we were very attached being the first litter. 2 of my daughters took one each and I kept Apple. So mom and pup have been playing with them. Volcom was lonely and even got little upset stomach from missing his siblings. We made sure he and mom received extra love and attention. His tummy seems to be settling down now he cried alot first day he hates being alone in x-pen so we think that's what upset his tummy. New family has been great they have already e-mailed me 5 times letting me know how pups are doing and that they loved their puppies and puppy baskets:D She asked me if I would watch them when they go on vacation - they travel alot in summer. "Of course!" I said LOL She also wants me to groom them monthly because she likes how I groom my furbabies. So I will be seeing them alot YAY:D:D:D They went home about 90% pee pad trained and they do very well when crated. New family was very amazed at how well they did with transition. They have a shih-tzu that gave them many problems as pup with potty training and crying all night. They sleep through the whole night and wake up at 6:30 am to potty:D I wrote everything down and they have kept exact same schedule. I also put the pad that was in crate at my house inside the crate that they brought for pups this way it would still smell the same. Oh, and their blankies that they had since they were tiny. I tried to make transition as smooth as possible and it seems to have worked:D I had already planned to offer boarding & grooming services for any pup I place. I thought this was good idea to keep in touch with them and bring in some extra cash for furbabies funds:D My hubby thinks it's just an excuse to see pups regularly LOL Once again thanks everyone this is why I love YT  |

You should still be very excited! Just keep in touch and love love love your puppy :D And don't worry mom did alot better after:D Congratulations!!! |
:cry8:Yep , in tears here too. It reminds me of when I got my first dog Jessie . The mum was crying and so was Jessie , I nearly took her back because of the guilt that I felt but glad we didn't , she had 14 glorious years with us and couldn't have been more loved. |
