Fleas and Ticks Prevention
 
What do i use for my house, lawn and dog??

I have K-9 advantix from the vet, and and worm shield for heartworms to give her, but what about the nasty yard and if there are fleas on the carpet. how on earth do i know if she has them or if the house has them?

i'm all itchy mostly because i'm a little bug a phobic...i have chiggars or something that keep biting me when i take her outside. can i put something on my yard and on my couch and carpet that won't hurt her.

I use FronlinePlus....Not for sure on the brand you use, but I do not treat my yard or house. Once you put Fronline on, it protects them for 30 days. If a live tick or flea gets on them, it will die. It also kills live fleas & ticks if any are present.

I use K9 Advantix, works much better than Frontline did for us. I don't use anything in the yard or anything. K9 Advantix is better at repelling the fleas and ticks, where as Frontline just kills them, but they can still attach. Also, Advantix repels mosquitoes as well which I like.

Yes I argee, I use Frontline year round so I don't ever have a problem with those pesky varmets attaching. I live in the boonies, so mosquitoes are not a factor. Neighbor has a purple martin house! Yah!

Turn the pup over, belly up. If you have fleas, you will see them scattering about there. Not sure why, but they seem to migrate there :confused:

We use Frontline year round and have yet to have an issue. If she had fleas when you got her they could be in the house- and I would bomb to make sure they are gone, if she didnt you should be just fine without having to do anything else other than using your preventative. Best of luck!
