Help My Roxy was 1 y/o on Feb 6, 2009. she just had her 2nd heat and my 14 1/2lb malitpoo got her. :(She is 7lbs. I did not want this to happen, but it did on July 12th. I was told by a vet that there is a shot that could abort the pups, but I am afraid that she will die, or should I get her fixed. Which is safer? |
I would post this in the breeder section if I were you. That way you will get a knowledgeable answer from breeders. Good luck |
Breeder Section Thank you. This is my first time on here. Where is the breeder section? |
If you go up to the top of this page, and find the forums tab. Click on that and scroll down about half way and you will find the breeder section. |
Thanks Thank You!:) Claudette |
Hi and welcome to YT! I'm sorry this happened. I think you'd be safer to get both your dogs fixed so you can avoid this problem in the future. Since your male is double your females size there is a chance the puppies will be way to big for her to safely have naturally. If you let the puppies go to term your female will probably have to have a c-section. You can either have her spayed now and abort the puppies. Or you can let her go to term, go thru with the c-section, and have her spayed at the same time. Hopefully if you post in the breeders section you will get more advice if you decide to go with the c-section and spay. |
