I think it all depends on how you approach it. My Yorkie is 3 years old, 4.5lbs. and I have a 3 year old nephew that lives with me. Yes, we had our moments, but I aggressively used positive training on BOTH my Yorkie AND my nephew and they get along great. My nephew loves to just kiss and play with my Yorkie. Bounce, in turn, loves him too and always gives him kisses. If you use positive training on both, you'll be fine. Contrary to what most people believe, it is possible to have young kids and Yorkies. :) |
Otis doesn't like little little kids. The little kid we know is almost three, and he's extremely violent. He's the like the Seed of Chuckie. Anyway, I'm not sure if I want a baby or not, though one thing that appeals to me is I could dress Otis and the baby up as twins, and push them around in a double-stroller. |

Oh man - that would be sooooo funny. Doooo it! Heck - borrow someone else's baby if you have to. Then take pictures. |
I think it is ok to have your yorkie around children, Keena doesnt exactly like little kids like 2 years old, but if the kid bugs keena, keena will let the kid know. Which is basically a warning, if like my brother bugs her too much then she will nip at him... but this is after she has giving her warning. Other than that, they love my brother and niece! |

You crack me up, Junebug! I've got to say, you sure are creative! Somebody with a baby REALLY needs to do this with their Yorkie, I just hafta see it! :p |
I hadn't thought about that! Hmmmm, I could do that if I had matching outfits....I'll have to talk to my mom about sewing some. |
I have a 2 year old son and he plays with my little 4 pound yorkie all the time and he's fine with her. Although all yorkies are different. ;) |
