Jackson's best friend died, she's gone, I'm so upset
 

We've been crying all morning.

Me & Jackson had spent the night over my dad's house last night and I got a call from my mom this morning around 9:30, she was crying hysterically. Carmen, their 4 1/2 year old cockapoo, got hit by a car this morning and my step dad was the one who hit her. :( He was out front trying to fix a car so he was driving up and down the driveway trying to figure something out, and she for some reason ran under the car and she must have broke her back. My stepdad jumped out of the car and Carmen stood up like she wanted to run away but she quickly fell over and just died in his arms. :( The saddest part about this is ... my little 6 year old brother died in 2006 and he picked Carmen out. That was his doggy. Carmen was the last piece of him we had left.

We've been hysterical all morning, I am so upset. I still live at home w/ my mom, stepdad, sister and Carmen and Carmen was like my second dog. She slept with me every night that I was at home, I was the one who fed her, gave her treats and cuddled with her. I'm so upset and so is Jackson.

We buried her under my little brother's tree out back and I let Jackson go out and say goodbye. He was very upset and sniffed her, and when he saw my stepdad bury her, that's when he really was like "What are you doing with my friend?!?" We're all just soo upset.

Oh Britster, I'm soooo sorry! What a terrible thing to happen. Your stepdad must be even more devastated. I'm so sad for your whole family. Carmen looks like a real sweetie! Love & prayers coming your way. XOXOs to Jackson too.
