And also because i love toy breeds I get accused of wanting to be Paris Hilton!....NOT funny! I have actually had people say to me when they see Pixie, 'you're not a Paris Hilton fan are you'? Has anyone seen Beverley Hills Chihuahua? do you think films like this just make the whole toy breed obsession worse? Like Legally Blonde...my teenage neice became obsessed with getting a chi after seeing this film...then got given a Spaniel puppy by her parents and lost interest in it after just a week. |

I first had a 'dog in a bag' back in 1993...she followed my lead i do believe;) |
A friend of mine has a chiuahua named Rio We was on a job last year and bought some food from the chip shop near where we was working, my mate got a couple of saveloys(sausages) and had one bite and said I don't like these and put them back in the bag. When he got home he gave one to the dog who turned his nose up. Later that evening he threw them on the lawn for the foxes that visited as he watched even the foxes refused them. I guess the sausages weren't very nice |

I'm glad this topic was posted. I know that teacup is used as a marketing ploy and to get more money and they're higher health risks having a "teacup". I fell in love with Lucy when I saw her; she was the same price as all of the rest. She is 6 months and 3 lbs. I thought she'd make it to 5 lbs and maybe she will. Regardless if she's 3 lbs or 7 lbs, I'll still love her. I get a lot of comments when I'm walking her. Some people frown upon tiny dogs calling them rats or is that a dog, it's smaller than my cat. I do not call her a teacup because I know there is a lot of negativity around that name. If people question her size I tell them I don't expect her to get much bigger. Some ask if she's a teacup and I'll say yes thinking they are using the name and I know what they are referring too. It sucks that we have to defend our yorkies size whether they are tinies, teapots or teabags. ;) |
