HELP! dont want 2 have 2 rehome my baby! long story short i left my ex and moved home with my parents. took my baby ovie with me. he was pee pad trained. and used it 95% of the time. now that we moved here he goes everywhere and anywhere but his pad. my parents have 2 large dogs and i put him outside when they go but he does nothing. my parents have had it with the mess and are telling me i must fix it or get rid of him.. i would get my own place but i leave for university in 3 weeks. and they were gonna watch him hellpppppp |
I think your best bet to do is to retrain him as if he was a new puppy...start from the beginning again....lots of treats..lots of praise. Sometimes a move can make a dog regress. Good luck. |
You need to confine him so he isnt making messes and retrain him |
I would make sure to limit him to a small space. I don't know how old he is but they are like babies. He will get lost and not know where the pad is. Good Luck |
I agree, it's time to break out his crate and start from scratch. Do you take him over to sniff where the other dogs are peeing? Usually the scent will prompt him to go. You can also blot a pad with whatever dog pee is available ;). That usually prompts more interest in the pad. Make sure you clean up his accidents with Nature's Miracle so he isn't confused by lingering scent marks. |

HOW CAN I SHOW HIM 2 GO OUTSIDE ALWAYS NOW THEY dont want the pee pads. |
yeah, I agree...you need to go back to the basics of puppy training, confine him in a pen with a puppypad when not being supervised and take outside for toilet breaks after every meal, sleep and playtime...give lots of praise and a treat. goodluck! hope it works out for you.:D |
Just as everyone is saying: go back to the beginning. We never use pee pads (I can't stand the thought of them pooping in the house AT ALL!). I use a crate (a small one) and when he was NOT being supervised continually, he was in it. And we went out every hour on the hour. Lots of praise, some treats (he isn't big on treats!), but the real issue is training YOURSELF to be vigilent and take him out and stay with him (can't just open the door and let him go with the other dogs). That will probably be the only way. Or, buy a playpen and use pee pads in that when you aren't around. |

I was just going to suggest "CRATE TRAINING" , just get a schedule and start from the basics... you will get your baby trained again before you go to school... hurry up... start ASAP !!! XOXO |
I just want to say good luck, mine would never train to go outside, it was pee pee pads and that was it! I hope you will have enough time to train him but 3 weeks seems short, hopefully he will catch on. |
good luck ! :animal36:aimeeyorkI agree U have to start from the binning, but u need to stay with him for the next few weeks to help him train. U can do it !!! manina, miley:aimeeyork, max:aimeeyork |
