How do you count your dogs age??? By weeks or months?? In following Jemma's growth, I followed the weight chart by weeks. Jemma is 34 weeks. Or 8.5 months. She was born Dec 1, so is she 7 months? 7 months or 8.5 months? So what's the answer??? ummmm do I need more coffee or does everyone understand what I mean? |
 I'm confused..and need more coffee too! :D |
ok, I had more coffee so I guess I'll try a different approach. There is usually 4 weeks in a month. Some have 5 weeks. There are 52 weeks in a year and 12 months in a year. Jemma was born Dec 1st. If we count Dec to July 1st, she is 7 months. If we go by weeks, she is 34 weeks. Divide the 4 weeks in a month, into the 34 and we have 8 1/2 months. Oh Lord, I still think I'm confused. And I don't think even coffee will help me on this one. Even I might be confused on what I'm saying, or counted wrong. DUH!! |
Well this is how I would do it. Your little Jemma was born on Dec.1st. Each month on the 1st I would add a month. So on Aug 1st Jemma will be 8 months old. After about 20 weeks it starts getting confusing so I then switch to months easier to keep track. I have four so I really get confused. Hope that helps!!!! |
Good Lord - now I need coffee ~ and I don't even drink the stuff! |

There are 2 weeks unaccounted for in your calculation. January and April both have 5 weeks not 4. You would take the 34 weeks and divide by 4.3 which is the actual amount of weeks per month annually to account for the months which have 5. 34 divided by 4.3 = 7 months. |
I started losing track of weeks after he was, like, 20 weeks old... lol. Then I started months. |
