Paws or Hands?
 

Okay so I know that all of us on here treat our little ones as if they are human. I totally get that and am in full compliance with it, however, Miss Malli uses her paws just like we would use our hands. For instance, when I get home from work I usually come in, change clothes, and then proceed to plop in my desk chair(it's leather and feels so good and cool on my skin, the girls in my office try to make it feel like we are at the beach) anyway Malli proceeds to jump in my lap and will sit on her butt in the crook of my arm and if I do not acknowledge that she is there with a belly rub then she takes her paw and will rub at my face as if to say "I'm here just rub my buddha please." This is not the only time she does it. If we are playing with her ropes she grabs them as if we were grabbing something with both hands only she doesn't have the thumb grasp on them. Just wondering if anyone else's pup does this? It is not that I mind it or that it annoys me I actually think it is just her sweet way of getting my attention. The only thing I don't like about it, is when her little paws get hung in my hair which is just a bunch of massive curls and I'm REALLY tender headed so it hurts.

My Bella does the same exact thing! :) She also lays on her back and holds her little toys with her "hands" to play with them. I think it is the cutest thing.

Riot had hands, hands down lol! No paws here! He even rubs his eyes when he wakes up in the morning and if the sun is coming in, he'll cover his eyes with his hands. Not to mention all the times he tried to pick up things and hold things with his hands! :rolleyes:

Yep! We have hands here. I even find people looking at me funny when I tell stories and mention Maddie's "arms and legs" or "hands and feet". LOL:D

Yep, Tobie does it too. He LOVES to play with empty water bottles and he will put the top in his mouth and roll over on his back and hold it up with his paws (or hands. LOL). So he basically looks like a baby drinking from a bottle but he holds it himself :p Also, when he plays with the other dogs, he stands on his back legs and swipes at their faces with his paws... I always say that I think he's part boxer :p hehe

Sugar uses her paws a lot too! Especially to get my attention!

Oscar will lay on his back and play with his toys between his hands, Keysha has not done that yet she may not.

Juicy is always using her paws especially when she is trying to get my attention.

Mimi too she does that with her toys and when she wants to get scratched its the cutest thing lol

Milo does the same things with his hands...so cute! He also taps us to get our attention and when in our arms he will hold on tight with his hands. He totally has us wrapped around his little hands. :love:

sometimes he will play tug with his hands instead of his mouth.

i find it the cutest is when i come home with my arms wide open and down on one knee ready for him to charge at me for a hug....nope, it never works out like that. he will dash but about a meter away from me he will go on his legs and lift his hands in the air wide open like mine and slowly hop/jump towards me until he reaches one of my hand. he will then cross his hands and hug my hand :aimeeyork what a sweetie

We are so HAPPY to find out we are not alone!!! If they only had thumbs huh???
