false pregnacy???
 
I think Buttons is going through or beginning to go through false pregnancy....she is not in heat though..is this normal? Will some of you share stories of your experinces with false pregnancys??

It seems to be fairly common with the smaller breeds. Just give her lots of loves. My vet thought that Maddie was having a false pregnancy also, for about 4 weeks after her heat she was very sleepy and clingy Her breast tissue was a bit swollen still. I have read that some actually act like they are pregnant for a full term (and even carry arround little toys like pups:)), her's was not that long and as soon as she seemed back to normal I had her spayed. She is doing great. I really felt bad for the though be cause it was obvious that durring that time she didn't feel very well. I am sure there will be someone that can give you more info on it, as this was my first and only exp. with a false preg.

Well it has been a quiet a few months since she was in heat, but I guess they can still act this way. Her breast arent swollen, she is just carrying her toys, whiney, etc. It is so funny to see her curl up with her toys, like they are really her babys. I need to get her spayed. It scares me for her to go under the knife.

I totally understand your fear, I was a nervous wreck when Mad went under.

I have had dogs before, and I loved them dearly, but this little girl has stole my heart. I dont even think she is a dog sometimes. She is my baby girl.:D

Mikki had a false pregnancy after her last heat in April. She was kinda sluggish and clingy and drag around all kinds of toys. One day I was petting her tummy and she actually had some milk. Since she had tied with our boy Maximus (neutered) during her heat it scared the heck out of me b/c I thought there might be some little Maxes on the way... you never know... LOL!

Now she is spayed and Maxie looks quite disappointed... ;)

Hmmmm... Yorkies are DOGS???????
