Does anyone know about saveayorkie.com My daughter saw two adorable brother and sister duo in a foster home ready for adoption. Just curious about this organization.

There's an old thread about them in the regional mid-atlantic section. I believe the ones your daughter saw are still there.

Is this saveayorkie in pa? I've fostered for them a couple of times and we got our wonderful Bernie from them. They are a wonderful organization who really care for the animals they take in.

Yes, it is. Thanks for the positive feedback. They are seven years old and their owner died. They are being cared for in Erie, Pa. My daughter just completed the application and is looking forward to hearing from them.

One word of advice, it is a completely volunteer run organization and they do get amazingly busy. If your daughter doesn't hear anything in a couple of days, tell her to go ahead and call. BTW, good luck to her and let us know how it goes!!! Thank her for considering rescue!

I'm sure she will! I'll tell her to check back by mid week. I heard that they are all volunteers so they must be very busy. Thanks for your feedback!

I see that Jack and Jill have been adopted. Was this by your daughter by any chance???

No, they said there were others on the list before her. When she spoke to the foster mom though, she did tell her that Jack coughs when excited. It might be nothing but since we just watched Oliver struggle with his trachea, she had concerns. Thanks for asking! The right one will come along.

You are right. The right one will come along. It's sad how many end up in rescue. Good luck and I hope it works out for her soon!
