14 weeks and lifting leg to pee!? I have Baileys pee pads in a large container that has sides, recently when he goes pee he lifts his leg up to go on the sides of the pee pad holder, is this normal? I didn't think they lifted to pee so early. |

If you are not going to use him to breed, I'd have him neutered ASAP. That is not a guarantee either. Beans was neutered by six months of age and he still marks :( My older male that we lost two years this August NEVER marked so I think it depends on each dog. Elaine |
Some start young and then some never do.:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Wow, he learned quick:D Don't laugh but my little Lexi squats down as low as she can go to the pad and then her little right leg lifts up...she hates when the pee pee rolls down on it LOL it really is cute to see Hugs Cheryl & Lexi:aimeeyork |

Well I am glad that it's normal,:) this is my first male puppy, I always had females. I plan on getting Bailey neutered, but the vet said 6 months was the earliest she would do it. I just hope he doesn't start marking other places in the apartment:eek:.. I guess he is not actually marking though , he is just going pee but lifting his leg to do it... |
Anybody have an issue with their dog NOT peeing? I have never seen a dog not pee when you take them out for a walk. I am finally learning his ways. If he pees first thing in the morning and then when I get home from work, he is done for the day. Sometimes he won't even pee in the morning! He is well hydrated, he eats and drinks like my other yorkie, he just doesn't pee. But when he does, watch out! |
