I love "crate training" , You can find a book about it in your local library! Lots of tips online... just google"how to crate train a puppy" There are other ways to train a puppy , but i love and recommend this one. Good luck with your new baby .... Congrats !!!!! |
I think crate training is the easiest way.. and maybe with the bell method as well. Good luck and congrats on the new baby! |
I agree with them. Crate training is the best way to go. The smaller the dog, the safer they feel in a crate. It's a little safe haven for them. Buddy was in one for about two years, only when I went to work. Then one day he refused to get in there. So I told him if he did anything in MY house he would always be in that crate. I was blessed, he never did anything wrong! No accidents, no chewing things up, nothing! The bell thing I didn't do. Buddy always went to the front or back door when he wanted out. |

thank you thank you everyone for your advice appreciate it a great deal. I will google for the information. have a great deay :) |
hi and thank you. I will have to concentrate on inside first since I do work, I am taking a few days off from work so we can get adjusted to him in the home and be with him as he adjusts to us. I understand what you are saying about the pen and thank you for your advice, I sure will consider it all. |
Crate training when you aren't home and timed voiding (a nursing term used for bladder training incontinent patients). Take them out often and use a single word for the act. I say potty. I also use a clicker for positive reinforcement. Treat and lavishly praise saying "good potty". Also don't get discouraged. It can take a loooong time with these little ones. |
