I joined YT because..... I had owned other dogs but never a Yorkie. I just wanted to learn more about their addicting personalities and if I was just being crazy over her or were other people as crazy over their Yorkie as me! Because only you all can understand! :D Beside I like the pictures! :D:D:D So how about you? |

Ditto on that.:) I never even liked dogs, was always a cat person. Then we got our first yorkie, and after that I never looked back. I love my babies so much. I will never not have a yorkie. |
I joined when I got Cali, who wasn't my first yorkie but my first since I became internet aware, was having health issues and I have learned so much from here. I had 3 previous yorkies but still was clueless on lots of things about them, like liver shunt etc. I also have made some great friends on here and love being part of the YT community. |

I joined because I was wanting to get a Yorkie and wanted to learn all I could before I got one. Became more active once I got Myah a year and a half ago. |
Well, I have to admit at first I really thought I lost it...LOL Lexi has won my husband and my heart like you wouldn't believe. I always wanted a little girl but was blessed with 2 wonderful boys. Now I have my little girl..and she is all girl. I know we have spoiled her so much...but she deserves it. I enjoy everyone on here as they have great stories that keep me smiling. And I worry so much about her so its nice to know we have people to help should we need it....thanks all Hugs Cheryl & Lexi:aimeeyork |

I joined because Nancy invited me! I was browsing through youtube yorkie vids and saw the most adorable "barking spider". I enjoyed watching Joey so much that I commented on her vid and she told me about YT, and the rest is history! :D I had Uni for over two years before I found out about this, I'd never even been on a forum before! I joined another forum but it is smaller and not as many members and mostly local. I was looking through and found that some of them also used YT, so then here I am, this forum is so nice because of how big and how many members there are there is so much info! Thanks a lot! I joined just before (or just after, I can't remember) I got Cash, my first yorkie. I joined to talk about the issues that are particular to yorkies and now, two years later, June has joined the family. We couldn't be happier! Hehe, not only are yorkies addictive, YT is addictive! Every morning, I spend an hour on YT and in the afternoon, I will probably be here as well. Maybe I need to go to rehab? I think YT and yorkies is the best thing to be addicted to! |
I joined here the evening that I picked Missy up from the breeders. I was researching the internet because I was worried about how to care for a puppy so small. Her small size was surprising to me. I hadn't seen Yorkies under 10 lbs or so before her. I kid you not, when Missy's Mom and Dad came around the corner, I thought that THEY were the puppies! :p I just had no clue what a Yorkie under 5 lbs looked like. Anyways, if I wouldn't have come here, I wouldn't have known about Nutrical which probably saved Missy's life seeing as she needed it regularly from 7-11 weeks of age. I also really appreciated the support when Missy broke her leg and went through 3 surgeries in just a couple of months time. I have learned so much valuable information here at YT, and I've also met many wonderful friends. Ya know.....some places just feel like home. I love it here :D :yorkietal |
I joined YT before I got my first yorkie, Twinkle, and it's one of the best things I've ever done....I've learnt so much more than I did from the yorkie books I was reading, because I was learning from real yorkie-owner's experiences. I've made so many great friends here and I check in at least once a day (normally when I'm meant to be working:rolleyes:) to catch up with everyone and look at the pics of all the cute furbabies :D xxx xxx |
When I got Ivy the rescue that I got her from told me about YT and that I should go on so I could learn all about Yorkies. What good advice she gave me :) |
I did alot of Research on here before I got Harley. Of course, I had to sign up to get advise once I got him. Just endless information on here! |

I joined Yorkie Talk because I was given this sweet, cute little 3 month old Yorkie that no one wanted (long story) and had NO IDEA how to care or train a dog. The members of Yorkie Talk have taught me so much and I am proud to say I even get compliments on how well Sophie Kate behaves. It shocks me, and let me tell you at times I wondered if she would ever grow up). She was offered to me, I took her and we have loved her from that moment. I mark the day I got her as one of the many best days of my life. |
