Just to clarify things...I do not know the size of dog bred by Collier Ranch0I never got that far in talking to them as a potential breeder for our edition (shows how quickly it all went down hill) I made comments about another breeder (there's a thread on it here) whom is breeding 2 and 3 pound dog to produce dogs at maturity 1 1/2 pounds and is setting a further goal to be only 1 pound at maturity...that is actually (Posh Fairy Tail here's the link-http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/general-yorkshire-terrier-discussion/224406-micro-mini-teacups-under-1-lb.html ) no where do I state that was CR's practice, however CR (and Karla Clippinger) did make attacks against my opinion on that being irresponsible breeding...reading comprehension in ability should also be a requirement one looks for in a breeder-if they cannot read and interpret things correctly they are probably not researching and assimilating new information critical to dog care etc.

I wish anyone looking for an addition or their first pup the best and hope this thread aid them in finding a responsible, breeder whom is responsible in their breeding practices, and their business practices.

Well it appears they are quilty of the very thing they advocate against "Stalking"

One would think that their "business" could recover if they put as much effort into becoming reputable breeders as they do into harrassment.

First you stated you had just gotten a pup from CR now that you do not know them...wow that shows how they sell pups...thanks for adding that here...

I was refereed to CR as a Parti breeder -there's no pretending I posted a WANTED thread here, as well have been openly talking to multiple Parti breeders on here for many months, many people can verify such, furthermore I directly corresponded with Collier Ranch, about their breeding later I asked if they were on YT and then later about seeing a negative thread from a past buyer of theirs who got a pup sick pup from them. I gave them the benefit of any doubt and directly asked their side as I thought that was only fair-my mistake-I received a bizarre response from Kelly about her personal life and Gayle, her bipolar sister who stalks people she believes are acting against CR...those are Kelly's statements to me...I can post all the messages Kelly wrote and signed with the dates and times if need be...

I never stalked them or made negative comments about them on their page-I do not condone or partake in such behavior-stating such is slanderous.

The only way to see their page (Collier Ranch's) is when they accept you as a "friend" or you accept them as a "friend" ...which I was when I was considering a pup from them self...until I was advised (wisely) to not get a pup from them.

Also public information is readily available on the internet, verify it and correct any inaccuracies you feel there are at their sources...apparently a thread I posted about another breeder's breeding practices-breeding undersized dogs-was assume incorrectly to be about them-Collier Ranch (the one I already posted a link to and already addressed the misconception you have about I suggest the last thing you do before leaving YT is to read that entire thread).

Due to Collier Ranch thinking I posted the thread about them-which is clearly labeled about the breeder it was about and never mentioned CR until they began harassing and slandering me claiming the thread was about them.

Then (you) they gave out my personal contact information and began harassing me in various ways and passing out my information to others who sent me threatening messages and links to internet sites slandering me and posting my information. The hang up phone calls between 1 am and 5 am were obviously the behavior of a very mentally unstable individual. Which is quite illegal with both civil and criminal penalties.

If this continues legal action will be taken.

If you do not like YT delete your account...and do not post or pass out my personal information, continue to contact me via various anonymous accounts, your own accounts or here without permission again Kelly. This is the last time I will politely to ask you to do so.This nonsense is not the purpose of YT and is insulting to it...

I would like to welcome the OP to YT! I also would like to say I wish you the best in your search, be very careful and do you homework first. It is important to trust your breeder since you will be purchasing a puppy for life as well as the breeder. As far as your question about a male or female I would say I would have to speak with you first to make that decision, since I always try to place the right puppy to the right home. Well, it's obvious that a particular person has an agenda here to promote Collier Ranch. To anyone looking at Collier Ranch, I highly suggest you take a look at the way they respond to people that did not have a good experience with them.

While there are several good reviews on Yelp, it's interesting to note that they came after the start of a particular FB page and after several of the posters on that page said they had joined there because their breeders asked them to. ***NOTE*** I'm not saying that Collier Ranch or anyone else asked some of their posters to go put up reviews defending the breeder.

One of the things to look at in a breeder is how they handle problems with their dogs and their customers. Between their response on Yelp as well as some of their statements on FB, you've got a pretty good idea of how things are handled. What a potential buyer decides to do with that information is up to them.

Ethics?-I was messaged again from another "stranger" Kelly's comments about me once again giving out my name and contact information ...ethical business practices..I have omitted my name from her statements...and cannot believe I am getting harassed and threatened and then she claims I'm doing such...then goes on with the statements of what is obviously not an ethical person...I would share the message that sent me these comments...but I'd have to omit so many words to make it appropriate it would not make sense...the jist was I will sued if and my personal information will continually be given pout passed around the internet if (most of which has nothing to do with me) all the negative statements about CR on YT do not get deleted...

n2cm-I don't believe this person is actually just on YT as a random persona or customer, I saw they posted here then received pms on Fb from Kelly stating the exact same words and etc...she claims it is her mentally ill unstable sister Gayle...

Again most of what she states about me is completely untrue, she doesn't know me other than my contact information and so her statements are ludicrous....the rest just nasty...does that seem like ethics to anyone? This is why i said she should be avoided at all cost to potential pup buyers-my personal experience with CR has been a nightmare to say the least...

Concrete girl-(my name has been omitted) I am one person she has attacked and there are dozens. How can someone expect any comfort when they have harmed so many? They are mad because of their own Narsassit rants against random unknown people. She still never aswers the question..do any of you actually know these people or have you had any business dealings with them? A judge would not hear one thing except..WHY doid you post this. They are hanging their butts out for lawsuits. I mean, Think about this. I live in the wealthiest area in the US next to Manhatten ... the silicon valley. Collier Ranch's dogs were in full coat, in the home , watching people cook in the main home. they had two pups for sale and a total of about 9 dogs including their HUGE German Shepard and Great Dane. You all are wastin time. I personally have taken interest because of the lunacy of this fighting over he said she said. They do have some big darn HUGE prehistoric fish though.Impressive ponds too!!! I guess they travel all over the world restocking ponds. I think you're fighting with the kids online. They have lots of students all over the office computers. Just saying, you're stressing yourself out and going to make yourself sick with fear of the unknown. It's a self fulfilling prophesy to fight over dogs online. Kinda fatalistic. Be happy . be Nice, Love your dog.

Yes and she is precious. vet checked out perfect, contract, records 12 weeks old and if I spay by the time she is 7 months old I get $250.00 rebate.

I love the idea of a rebate if you get your dog spayed. What's her name? Any pictures?

She'll be 5-8lbs and she will keep her black coat. I saw the mommy named Panda daddy named Smoking Gun. They fed me lunch and shuttled me all over their ranch in a golf cart to see their ponds.The dogs all want to ride on the backseat of the golf cart. I picked up my puppy 7 days later at their city house. They recommended me to 3 different vets and I got $100.00 discount on the puppy package. Whoever said Collier Ranch folks weren't good breeders is just misinformed. They're fun people but certainly not mean or incapable. . And very nice Yorkies. Highly recommend if you are down to earth if not I could tell she'd see you to the gate.

My Yorkie from Collier Ranch
 

I got my Yorkie from Collier Ranch about 5 years ago. First off, I LOVE my boy and would never give him up under any circumstances. I can not imagine not having him in my life. I'm not writing this review to slander (so please don't jump all over my post), I am writing to inform you about my personal experience and leave you to decide wether you want to get a pup from them or not. I am sure there are some who had a great experience with Collier Ranch and have very healthy pups as a result.

When I arrived to choose a pup, there were only two left. They were in a crate inside a mobile-type home in Sunnyvale. There were kids running around screaming—kind of a chaotic scene. Kelly was very friendly and easy to talk to and she let me spend time with the pups. The pups parents were not there (red flag 1) and I was told that the dogs were bred off-site, miles away, at a "ranch." I also found out that she was not the breeder, but that her Uncle Bill was (his name was on the paper work as the breeder, not Kelley's). He was there too as well as other family members. Uncle Bill never uttered a word to me. He just sat on the couch….mute I guess.

Anyway, I chose a pup and was told that if I got him neutered in a certain length of time, I would receive a refund of $50 back. So I filled out all the paperwork, paid for my pup, and went home.

All was fine in the beginning. He was adorable and he checked out OK at the vet. I found out that he had a severe under bite which the vet said is genetic and that could be a sign of bad breeding (flag 2). No big deal I thought. He can eat fine and we'll deal with the dental problems if they come along later. So I scheduled him to be neutered and have some of the baby teeth extracted at 5 months of age. I sent the receipt of the neutering to Collier Ranch so I could get my $50 back. No response. I called and emailed. No response and no refund. (flag 3)

I decided to register him with the AKC and filled out all the paper work and sent in the money. 8 months later, I received a letter from the AKC stating that they could not confirm his lineage and therefore he was no longer AKC certified (flag 4). I didn't get my money back from the AKC. I would have probably gone to court with that one if I was buying a dog for show, but, since my Yorkie was pet quality, I let it go. I did contact Kelly about that and sent her a copy of the AKC letter but got no response. I wasn't expecting to get a response, but I just wanted to let her know that the AKC was on to her.

At about age 2, our dog developed severe allergies. He is allergic to EVERYTHING. So it has resulted in vet bills and he has been on maintenance medicines for the last couple years. Recently, (he's almost 5 now) we had his hips x-rayed because he has been walking a bit funny and we hear clicking sounds when he walks. The vet showed us that the femoral heads of his hips (which are supposed to be round in healthy animals) are flat. So now we are looking forward to hip dysplasia when he gets older. The vet told us that a lot of these traits are usually inherited. (flag 5)

This was my first time dealing with a "breeder." All I can say is do your online research and ask a lot of questions. Get anything you can in writing. And hope for the best . . .

Kelly Collier is unbeleivable! Literally such a liar, very psychotic behavior, blamed it all on her daughter and supposed bipolar sister not involved in her business.

She literally terrorized me for over a month for no real reasoning, other than she assumed some complaint was made by me and I'm a YT member! I was a potential buyer at the time!

Repeaded hang up calls numerous emails texts internet slanderous posts, threats, had others doing so after a complaint was made, be glad you never hear from her trust me!
