Who wants to weigh in? I was laying in bed cuddling with Roxie last night and a question popped into my head. I blurted out to DH there are so many breeds of Terriers but what exactly is or does that mean? What makes them a Terrier? He said it was a good question but I felt kind of dumb asking. I always just blurt these sorts of things out. He said he kind of forgot that he has read about it. Any thoughts? |
When in doubt, check Wiki! Terrier - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I also find that terriers are single minded: once they get something on their li'l flea-bitten brains, that's ALL they can think of :D ... you really have to work to distract them. Whatever "makes" a terrier, I sure do love 'em! |
OK so that would make my little Clarence (see my avatar) NOT a terrier! The only thing he gets single minded about is meals!:p |

While I was looking for some info on this I found this page. It's kind of neat and thought maybe some would find it interesting or informative. Most of it is simple and obvious but others were some I didn't know. Crazy for Dogs -- Glossary I have to laugh because I think some of these may apply to humans! |

LOL! Ok I'm short too and no offense taken here either! :D |
If I'm not mistaken, yorkies are the only terriers that are in the toy group, not the terrier group. Is that correct? That makes them even more special! |
