help please? Have a question for all you people who use pee pads at home. I live on my own and dont like going out of a night so Bailey uses pee pads. The trouble is he is weeing loads of them... which i know is good but they aint really holding the wee as there is to much of it. Can anyone tell me some pee pads that hold ll the wee better? xxx |
There is one brand with arm and hammer to obsorb odors and the pads are extra absorbant. I know they sell it at petsmart. The seem to work very well. I also use my hard bottom pee pad holder and place four or so open wee pads on it on top of each other. I find its easy just to roll the top one up and throw it away and have another already underneth ready to go , It also helps if a little wee went through. hope that helps :) |
I use the washable pads made by YT member LittleBit. They are great! They are very absorbent and you'll save money because you won't need to keep buying the disposable ones. |
I use the bed pads from Sam's (Costco has them, and I think BJ's does, too). They're larger, less espensive, and seem to do the job. I have 3 dogs who use them, so they do work ... |

pee pads Hello: Sounds like you have a big problem, lol! As a fellow Brit, now in Southern California, I understand the shops mentioned to help you are probably not in the UK. However, if some pet shop has the tray-like holder for the pads, it is a good idea that someone here suggested to put a few pads on top of each other and peel them off as needed. Otherwise could you place the pad on top of something absorbent that would take up the pee slack if it goes thro' the pad, so to speak? At least your Yorkie has good kidneys!!! Best of Luck. I use the Inconstenance pads from WalMart. They are thicker and larger and cheaper that buying doggie pads. Also, use the washable ones. The only problem is with the washable ones you have to find an area to store them till you get enough to wash, if you live in a house they can be put in the garage, but if you live in apartment...mmmmmmm....smelly |

Have to tell you I'm a very frugal person. All right so I'm cheap!LOL I went to walmart and bought a twin bed protector sheet, to see if it work. They are fused together so no sewing! Came home ripped the sides off. Cut the rest of the sheet in large strips. Got 4 large pads for under $10. Best thing is you can cut them any size you want. I have a galley kitchen so they were perfect. Even better Buddy does not slip on them!!! I haven't washed one yet, just did this yesterday. But I'll update as soon as I know how well they wash. Oh, also. Buddy is a older guy. He's not into the chewing or anything like that. Hope this helps someone |
