Rug steam cleaners... any recommendations? I'm thinking of getting a small rug cleaner. I mostly have hardwood floors but have some area rugs and I want to get something to clean them. does anyone have any recommendations? |

We have two small rooms that are carpet. We rent a rug doctor from Kroger every now and again. It works great! |

Thanks... We don't have Kroger's up here. :( I could rent one somewhere I imagine but I think I could buy a smaller rug cleaner for just a little bit more so it would pay for itself really quickly. Just not sure how good those smaller inexpensive models work. Anyone else? |

Bissel makes quite a few. The green bissel quicksteamer worked wonders on the carpet at my condo in CO, but does nothing for the carpet at my condo in Phxoenix. Phoenix is burber carpet and CO has the regular, plush carpet. So really, i guess I'd say it depends on your carpet. But, I will say the quicksteamer was well worth the price at my other condo, and was small enough to store easily. I just bought the larger red bissel with the pet stain eraser attachment. Has worked better than anything else, but the spots are still there. I honestly think it's the burber though, nothing works. Cleaners I'd used before with phenominal success now do nothing on this carpet. My landlord really needs to get it replaced, it's aweful, and literally falling apart at the seams (My vacuum routinely unravels a good 20 feet of it before I can turn it off and take out the string. augh! |

We also have a Bissell Steam Pro Heat Px2 and I love it. And with two puppies in the house that aren't house trained.... It has become my best friend :p |

I have a Bissell steam cleaner. Old one, not sure of the model. Maybe 4-5 years old (or more). We plan on getting the Bissell Pro Heat Clean Shot. It is the most expensive, but all the others had negative reviews (only looked at Bissell models). Oh, and what kind of cleaner does everyone use? I've tried like all of them. I like Resolve for steam cleaners the best. It smells good. |

I don't own this but I do have the Shark Vaccume and I love it! Maybe there steam cleaner will work? It has good reviews. Here's the link. Walmart.com: Shark Ultra Steam Blaster: Appliances Hope that helped! |

I have a big shampooer and the spot bot... I use the spot bot more because you can turn it on and let it clean it while your doing something else. I do agree with the ones you can rent at the grocery store are good. When I had my tanning salon, I was in the middle of painting and accidently dumped the entire gallon of paint on the carpet.. I soaked it with water, put towels over it and ran and rented one ~ got all the paint up, just like that! |
