Breeder help... I'm in the process of looking over a health guarantee and the guarantee I'm looking over says "limited to a replacement puppy". It also says "Breeder shall not reimburse any veterinary expenses or other expenses incurred by the buyer at any time." I have never looked at a health guarantee before now so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. But what if the vet DR finds something wrong with the pup and I choose not to take another pup from the same breeder and want my money back so I can purchase a pup somewhere else. Thanks, Chrissy |
Based on what you have there... it sounds like your only option is a replacement pup. Why don't you discuss it with the breeder and see what she says? |
Sorry I have to agree...it sounds like the only thing you can do is get a replacement. Sounds rough I know. Some breeders are in it for $$$. I have my contract on my website that way the new family can read it before anything else is done. |
We won't be buying a puppy until months down the road. I'm just wanting to educate myself before I make such a big decision. The breeder I am talking to seems really nice and has been very helpful. She is actually a member here on the board. Contracts just confuse the heck out of me. |
Replacement puppy is pretty standard in contracts. Breeder shall not reimburse any veterinary expenses or other expenses incurred by the buyer at any time. Is also standard in most contracts. |
Thanks to everyone. I did end up talking to the breeder about these questions and we worked something out through email. Thanks again, Chrissy |
