anyone want to reply??.. |
Our city is not very dog friendly so besides petco and petssmart there really arent any places I can take my dogs. We do have a nice Canal that I take them for walks by. |
I take Coco to the dog park almost every night...we also go to our cute little down town area where I read a book and she sleeps in her stroller or sniffs around on her leash. Either way, we talk to people and she plays with kids and other dogs. We also take a stroll in her stroller at the mall together. We also like to have playdates. I also take her to outdoor festivals and such...if I think of more I will add..hehe |
thanks for replying!!! :) |
I put Desi in her carrier and take her everywhere. I've been to restaurants, the mall, movies. I look for outdoor events where I know I can take her and let her out of the carrier like out door concerts in the park, street fairs, etc. I love taking her to Central Park in Manhattan, I never fail to meet 2 or 3 other Yorkies. |
Destiny is the only really sociable puppy I have out in public. I think her favorite place we go is to the bank. All the girls there just make of her and she knows she'll get a treat.:):) |
I take Rowdy with me in the car alot - when I am not going to get out and go inside somewhere he can't go - to the bank, post office, ATM machine, getting take out food (but you have to watch those ice cream cones - he'll get a lick before you can blink an eye). I don't have many places except home depot and petsmart where I can take him inside. You might try petfriendly.com - it lists places you can take your pets in pet friendly cities. I discovered that many restaurants with outdoor seating in my city SAID pets were allowed. I haven't tried it yet, because I don't think Rowdy is well enough behaved yet to go into even an outdoor restaurant. The other thing is that he is so darned cute, it creates a STIR wherever I am. We travel in the car alot so I try to take Rowdy in the car with me as much as possible, just to be sure he doesn't forget car travelling between our trips. |
Chloe will go with me to drive thrus occasionally. But mostly becasue its too hot in a car and most places wont allow dogs, I only take her to the pet store or to family members houses. |
Tonight we went to Old Navy, Petsmart, and a cute little dog boutique. Loki loves to go to grandma's house and anywhere near kids. We have some outdoor malls that let pets in some of the stores, although I've never been kicked out of any of the ones that don't say they allow pets as long as I'm carrying him. Gap/BR/ON are always so nice about letting me carry him in there to browse. He gets bored with shopping quickly though. We like to take him to dinner with us at some of the outdoor restaurants, but we always bring a bully stick or something better than food to him or he tries to get our dinners. He LOVES going for ice cream, although he doesn't get any, because there are kids. He likes to go anywhere he gets attention. He also likes to go anywhere that means getting a new toy (like grandma's house :-) What are we going to do in the winter?? |
Oh, I forgot to say that I take Rowdy to my daughter's house almost every weekend - he loves to play with her cat. I also take him to my office on the weekend - when I sometimes go in to get a few things done. |
I can only take my girls with me to the park, to petco, petsmart and on walks! This town is not dog friendly either. |
