Another Yorkie I'm thinking of getting another Yorkie, Bluebelle is 5 months old and she loves canine company, the breeder I got her from has a very small boy that is 4 months old, but I suspect she won't let me see if the 2 of them "get along" because she wouldn't even let me touch Belle until I took her home.... Anyone else come across someone so strict? I love her dogs, but...I can't risk Belle being upset by this little fella. |
Well, I can understand her nervousness as other dogs could bring in possibly deadly diseases. But if he's 4 months old, he should have had his vaccinations so I would think she'd be a little more comfortable with that. Why don't you just explain to her that you want to make sure he gets along with Bluebelle? I would think she would understand that. Hey, it doesn't hurt to at least ask, right? Good luck - I hope it works out! |

Hope it all goes well for you and Bluebell. I also worried a little about bringing Rosie in with Alfie, but he so loved other dogs but though friendly was submisive. Having Rosie around has given him a much needed playmate and confidence. |
A new baby? I'm so excited for you. I've never heard of a breeder not allowing an existing dog to meet the new dog. But, I'm sure that Bluebelle would get along with anyone. :) |
Yorkie mad - yes, but for her rather than me. Just got back after being to a friends for 3 hours and she was so over-excited to see us....it will help her and be a good playmate. Cynsir - Bluebelle is quite bossy, I'm sure if we get a submissive male it will be fine....but I don't know about this little man! Anyway, there is still a small amount of husband persuasion to go - but that won't be hard ;) Anyway, her response was to avoid the direct question by saying boy and girl are usually fine together... Diane - what's the age gap between your two? |
Awww a new baby! Let us know:D I think they would be fine:):animal-pa |
