Air Conditioning is not an option for the Capt! Whenever I try to get Uni into the car, she will NOT jump in willingly unless she knows the a/c has been running for at least a few minutes. Even if it's not that hot, and I carry her in the car, I can feel her body trying to fight me bringing her inside. Most of the time during the hot months, I have to start the car and turn on the a/c and TELL HER the a/c is on, then she will get in the car. I know she's got a year round fur coat, but when we first got her, my old car didn't even have a/c! She would lay on an ice bag in the center console with the windows rolled down and she was totally fine! Now that she knows the "finer" things in life she will have no less. Oh, how I have spoiled her. |
Lol that is too funny! Uni is a girl who "knows what she likes!":D |
that is too funny. coral likes to put her face in front of the vent and let her hair blow in the cool air! |
Smart cookie that Uni:exclaim: |
That's too funny! Yesterday we spent the afternoon with my good friend, Zoe's "Uncle". He turned his A/C off and had his windows open (though it was a hot one out). Anyway, Zoe kept crying. I walked her, I gave her lots of water. She kept crying. When we left we joked to her that A/C is a must for her! |
Looks like you created a little monster there lol. :D That is so cute how she knows. Hey I wouldn't want to go in either without the ac on. |
I am with you on the A/C, Uni! No sense in traveling wilted when we can be nice and fresh with cool air! Typing "cool air" reminds me of years ago when you would see "COLD AIR" "COOL AIR" advertised at all sorts of places from movie theaters to grocery stores. It was not taken for granted a place would be air conditioned. Only if they advertised and that was a major selling point on hot days. |
lol she is a smart one... I love the a/c too lol!! |
:yelrotflm:yelrotflm she's no dummy, lol.;) |
LOL! she is so smart! |

Now that we are living with MIL, and there is no a/c at the house, she refuses to sleep upstairs in our room even though we have the ceiling fan going. She will go back down stairs and sleep on the couch near the sun room where there's a nice breeze! |
LOL She's a darling princess, what did you expect? :D |

Uni, you are a smart little princess :) I always turn on my car's AC and let it cool down before placing any of my babies in there too. It's just too darn hot ;) Suzi comes outside on the balcony with me for a couple min .However, she wants to come right back in , fast! poor girl is panting within seconds from the heat> We are spoiled, I have the inside AC on to 70' all the time .Heck I can't stand the heat either > |

Addie's good! Thanks for asking. :D She's all healed up. The vet removed the sutures a couple days ago. One of the assistants said it healed really well, so I'm really thankful for that. I'm glad her one-time licking incident didn't ruin it. She's absolutely spunky as awful. I'm so so happy it didn't change her personality at all. How's Uni doing? Did you get those pills? Is she taking it easy? Is she going up and down stairs well? |

That is really very smart of her. I'm impressed! That girl knows what she wants (and she gets it ;)) |
That's so funny! Stella is the same way about her air conditioning. Yesterday we went for a car ride and thankfully my car has remote start so I had the air on for a few minutes before we got there. As soon as I put her on the passenger's side and she realized that her seat had sun and my seat was shaded by a tree, she jumped over the console into my seat and did not want to leave--she kept putting her paws in the steering wheel so I literally had to "untangle her" from my side! I had the hardest time just getting into my seat! From now on (or until she learns how to drive, too), I think she gets in 2nd. |
How cute! Snickers wont get in the car untill i get in. So really I don't think the ac matters:p |
Cute! She sure knows what she likes and knows how to get you to fall for it.:D I use shades on my windows when we travel. Mine don't seem to like the air hitting them. They actually like little baby blankets in their car seats to snuggle into. ~Joanne~ |
 SO funny! My girls are polar opposites---Luna LOVES the heat, she'll lay on the dark wood deck that I can't even walk on barefoot, it's so hot! I have to go and pick her up to come inside:rolleyes: Izzy begs to come in from the first moment out there:p BTW, we call Luna OOnie and Noonie, somehow the babytalk brought that name out when we first got her:D Your captain is too precious:love: |
Ooh another Noonie! How fun! Yea the name Noonie came from baby talk too! Her actual name is Uni (oo-nee) but lately we've been calling her Nunez! She also likes to suntan, which is funny b/c of the a/c thing. She'll lay in the sun for forever! I have to bring her back inside to get some ice water! Oh and she won't drink room temp water either! Cold filtered water only! Oh what a little monster I created! |
LOL, that is funny. |
