:( He is not very well housetrained and needs a belly band while inside. He likes to mark. He also doesn't have much for obedience training. I don't know if I can deal with that much training, especially for a dog who has not been house trained for 2.5 years already. If he marks, it will just encourage Layla to pee anywhere too. Does anyone else want him?? :( |

I just emailed her to let her know she was getting talked about. If some one don't have money to pay for a yorkie, they may not need one. You have to have money to have pets, you have to take them to the vets, food , & ect. Their needs cost money!! Love only goes so far. Everyone wants something for free, and when it get sick do you think the vet is going to be free!!! No I hope this dog fines a great home with someone that can love him and take care of any of his needs. |

I do not think dog ownership should just be for the rich. I think every child should have a dog growing up but their parents should be willing to give up lots in order to do that if need be. We had some hard times in the past and I cut way back on my grocery bills so she could have the best. It is possible. |

You know what? I am offended that you are doing this and keep emailing the breeder asking her to lower her price and adding your little haha's. I am not very nice when people call me about my puppies and pull this on me. If this breeder is like me, she knows what she wants for the dog. I set my price and people can take it or leave it. I usually get off the phone real fast after I tell people that if they are looking for a free puppy or a two or three hundred dollar one, that they need to keep right on looking. When I buy things, I pay what the asking price is. |

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Thank you, that is what I am talking about, why do people think breeders should almost give yorkies away. The breeders like unless do not buy cheap Yorkies to be in a breeding line, we have very nice bloodlines and pay $$$$$ for them, they we do all the test on them, vet vists, best food , houseing, cleaning up after them, sleepless nights with puppies, and people think they should sell for a free or 200. Please, No!!! It cost money to breed, we have to sell the puppies for a price to pay ourself back for all that we have put out. And no I did not call you poor, but you have to think when you get a puppy or dog "what if" I bought a Maltese male about a year ago, after about 8 weeks he got very sick, I spend $900 in vet bills and still lost him. It is something that could happen to anyone and the vets never found what was wrong. And he was bought from a very good breeder and she give me another puppy without me asking, but I was still out the $900. |
Well this thread has been ruined. |

I think the difference between the two situations is that you are a reputable breeder, who takes care of her dogs. This lady is a backyard breeder that has been breeding an unregistered dog, who isn't house trained, or trained at all from what PP have written. How many rescue dogs would have a home if the rescue organization/pound charged 700+ to help out a dog. They aren't asking for a free puppy, they are just wanting to help find an older dog with issues a nice, loving home. Just because someone doesn't want to pay close to a grand for an unregistered dog with issues, doesn't mean they can't afford to take care of it once it gets to them. My little guy is a rescue, and I gave a rehoming fee of less than 200, but he has never/and will never want for proper care and treatment. It is okay if you choose not to haggle with potential customers, I can understand that, but the lady with this ad obviously doesn't care to talk about price, so why should it bother you? |
Childish! I think some of the people in this thread are acting extremely childish. Who cares if the price is being haggled? Its a 2.5 year old dog who is basically being dumped off because its basically to the current owner "used goods". I personally applaud everyone in this thread for trying to save a defenseless dogs life and give it a better one with them and their family. Who cares about haggling, your saving a dog from being dumped off god knows where by someone who no longer wants it. There should be more people who try to help animals like this in the world. :bravo: |
