Looking for alternative puppy pads I will be getting my 2 yr old Yorkie in August as some of you know and she is puppy pad trained but plan on outside training. I read that puppy pads can be used for housebreaking a dog by moving it closer to the door which is great. However they can expensive. So my question is what can I use as alternative puppy pads that are less expensive than the puppy pads that are sold in pet stores and online? Thanks for any info, Missy |
I use the washable ones. They are still high in price but will save in the long run. I actually got mine from a medical supply store (kind they use in nursing homes). Can't remember how much but its lots better than disposable. |
I actually use diaper changing pads from the baby department at Target. They work great and are waterproof and washable. They come in a pack of three for about $6 or $7. I've got a bunch of them and have a diaper pail so I only have to wash them a couple of times a week, but if you are moving towards outside I wouldn't think you would need very many. |
I got mine from www.discountpads.com They are great, and the 20 inch by 17 inch are only $2.95 each. |
I buy in bulk. Used to get them on ebay but a YT member started selling the same ones. Here is the link and he has them on sale right now: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-shipping.html Very fast shipping! |
