One Burr in Her Fur And she locks in the hubs, and is not going anywhere!!! One 2 inch pine needle, and she's not moving either....The burr or the pine needle doesn't even need to be touching her skin, and she won't move, until it's removed lol....I can't even figure out how she knows it's there? It really makes me laugh, but it sure does slow down the walks... And another thing, the No Damp Feet Diva has to have it all perfect, or all 4 lbs. will just sit and sulk, 'till it's fixed lolol...I just wondered if all Yorkies are so sensitive about having anything on their hair? |
Not my little terror! She stops at nothing! I have to fight her just to remove any burrs and debris attached to her coat. What fun! |
Not Ben -- we call him the canine dustmop. He will gather all manner of flora on his zips around the yard and needs a search and seizure before coming back in the house each time. He brings in a pine needle at least once a day. They have that tiny bit of sap on the ends that makes them perfect to attach to their hair. I WISH he was a little more sensitive to that kind of thing. I don't always catch all the little things right away and I find little bits of dried leaves and grass on the floor where he has "shed" them! You can't skip a day of vacuuming around here. |
Lol Not my lil ones lol when they are playing or excited to go walking im the one who had to stop them hehehe to take whatever they have in their coat.. They are just a big hurricane all together hahaaha |
My chico had a bumblebee tangled in his hair not long ago. You talk about a yorkie running!! It was buzzing and he took off running through the house, it scared him to death. Actually, it scared me to death too...i was afraid of the bumblebee so when i did finally catch up to him, hubby had to get the bumblebee out. Ever since that incident, he hates when anything gets in his hair. |

Nothing wrong...Lil Miss Apple is just very particular about her looks. My kidz don't care if they look like PigPen. |
It stops Roxie too. Those things can be painful. Even if not against the skin they pull their hair. Her hair just winds around those things. She's had some pretty bad ones that have been matted up against her skin and the hair is tight pulling the skin. I swear they just reach out and grab her. I'm good at getting them out now. How they react to it could have something to do with coat texture. Roxie has a bit thinner coat so she pretty much feels everything that's not supposed to be there. She will stop and just start picking at it trying to get it out. I always have to bring her and get it out. Then we're back to normal and out playing. |

Yep! Hubby's been sick, and the back yard doesn't get the attention it should. The grass/weeds get so tall, all you see is "parting of the sea" as they run from one end to the other. I don't know how they see where they're going, except for when they BOING to the surface to look around :rolleyes:. They appear to *love* it ... but they sure come in with all kinds of nasty stuff stuck in their hair. In the morning, they come in soaked from dew or rain soaked grass. They don't care in the least little bit ... boys OR girl! Finicky these dogs are *not* ;) ! |

The only time Jackson's done anything like this is when it snowed back in March... and he had those little snowballs all frozen to his hair and he just stopped moving and looked and me like WTF is this? lol. He had sooo many all over him. You can kind of see what I mean here... |
They are all different. Sydney will go no matter what. Emmie will not go if anything is in her hair. In the fall when the leaves are down it is all over with. You can get the leaf out put she is done. I end up carrying Emmie and Sydney will walk forever. |

I would definately cancel that appt. lol! I really do think it pulls their hair. I can't believe how the hair just twists and turns around those things. One time she got one between her leg and her chest. It lifted her leg nearly to her chest. Was the most rediculous things. She was chewing at it and I picked her up immediately and brought her in. She acted like she didn't feel good the rest of the day. I think she got a sticker in her throat from it (figured that out after posting on here). Poor babies, they just don't understand what happened to them. |
How cute that little Apple is always wanting to be nice and clean. Uni is such the tomboy, she likes to be messy. I'm the one that is always trying to tidy her up, then she goes and lays down in a dusty spot in the corner! She will run through piles of leaves too, I guess she likes the sound of it! Quote:
