I'm not sure I'd have to get Curly out, she never leaves my side. I can't go pee without her standing there staring at me! I try to sneak out of bed while she's sleeping and she jumps up to see wtf I think I'm doing! |
I wouldn't leave without getting Riot first. I have no kids yet and it's just my boyfriend and I, so in my opinion, there is no way I wouldn't get him out with me. Unless he's eating, or welcoming the room mate home, he's always in the room with one of us. |

BUT, I would make sure all of them were out and then I would go back for each and every one of my 9 furbabies. No way in.. you know where, would I leave any of them in there. Just the thought makes me sick. I can picture each little face. Scared and confused...Nope, no way could I leave them in there! |

My dogs are my babies. I am not able to have human kids of my own because I have endometriosis so bad. But i would for sure find them before i got out. I would risk getting burned to a certain degree before i absolutely had to get out. But my dogs are by my side every second of the day so i don't think it would be hard for me to find them and get out. |
If you crate your pups when you're gone it might be a good idea to have a sticker on the window that says incase of fire live pets here..or something to that effect...to alert the firefighters like the ones for kids to let the firemen know which room to look in |
I think if I were in that situation myself, hubby, and children would all find a dog and take it with them. We have an upstairs and down. They all sleep upstairs in bed with us. Except for Terry our Pug he is my oldest's and sleeps with him. I am sure he and his brother would grab Terry and go. He loves his Terry to bits. He said even though Terry is 4 yrs. old; when he finishes High School he is moving to France and taking Terry with him he doesn't care what it costs!:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
My niece had a house to burn with her Rottweiler Madison in it. Luckily she had one of the old tubs in it (metal) and Madison got in the tub. When my niece arrived and notified the fireman that she had an animal in the house, they told her no way she could have survived but they went in anyway and found her in the bath tub. She was NOT burned but had inhaled a lot of smoke. One of the fireman took her and put oxygen on her and took them both to the vet. She stayed in the hospital for a week but now is just fine. Thank the Lord! All that being said the firemen had to hold my niece back because Madison is her baby and she determined to be sure her baby made it.:animal36 |
