Girls HUMPING?!
 
Libbie has been humping my teddy bears a lot lately. Ever since she turned 4months but shes been doing it more and more now and shes almost 6months. Is that normal? Libbie is a girl! I told some of my friends that and they told me that means shes gonna be in heat pretty soon. Is there any truth to that?

It doesn't necessarily mean she's getting ready to go into heat and yes some females hump.

Her behavior is perfectly normal for a puppy. Some of my older females will start humping more right before they come in heat and during their heat cycle.

Tia did hump and still does on occasion , no it has no inclination about wether she is coming into heat.

I tell my baby that that is not very ladylike!! :D After I got her spayed she doesn't do it anymore.

I try to explain this to people whenever Mocha starts humping their dog. But they just roll their eyes and ask me "Are you sure he's neutered?" :rolleyes:

OMG:eek:Glad to know we are not alone. Jada humps all the time. I have to hide some of her stuffed animals so she can take a brake, but she will obsess about finding it. And when she humps will keep going and going like the energizer bunny:confused:

For us it has nothing to do with heat. Roxie was spayed before she had her first heat. She's always humped one certain teddy bear and only that one. I've always known it to be a dominence thing.

Stormy doesn't really hump, but she loves to HUMP MY MOMS FEMALE YORKIE!! Every visit, it has become a habit now, she gets very excited around her and my moms yorkie loves to play so she will jump around on Stormy and Stormy will shake her bum in my moms yorkies face and then jump on her back and hump. lol It's hilarious, it was alot worse when she was in heat, now she doesn't do it the WHOLE visit.

Having had mainly bitches in the past I've always been told and believed it to be down to dominance, though two of my girls had other 'funny' preferences. Myshkha; if you were tickling or strocking her tummy would gradually try and nudge your hand towards her vulva- I kid you not- and her daughter would very often begin licking to clean herself then, well shall I say she would get a little excited. Hope Rosie doesn't go down that road.:eek::D
