Hey you Photogs! You know who you are! Some of the YT'ers have some really gorgeous pics of their babies and I'm hoping for some tips. Granted, I only have the little digital cam right now but my pics are crap. Curly is really dark especially her face and unless the sun is really bright, we are outdoors, and she feels like posing facing the sun, I get nothing. Plus, she's so little, I about have to lay on the ground to get a face shot. K, so my questions are...is there a nice camera that isn't real pricey I could get? Any pointers on how to get great pics with my dark colored baby? Oh, and what is it that makes the background get blurry and the subject bright and lovely? Thanks for the helps!:) |
i don't really know what camera is good, but i am sure someone will be able to help you with that. your baby is very pretty, and i love her coloring. but i had the same problem with milu when she was younger. her face was dark and it was hard to get pictures of her where you can see her face clearly. so i am not really sure how to help you with that. her face is lighter now, so it really shows up well in pictures. |
4 Attachment(s) I had this same problem with black horses. They are nearly impossible to get a good picture of them. I found that overcast days were the best for them. Diffused light works best. Yogi has a very dark face and it's often hard to get his eyes to show up in pictures. I find that good overhead lighting and no flash work best for him. Outdoor, cloudy day, no flash Attachment 283467 Indoor poor light with flash Attachment 283468 Attachment 283469 Indoor good light overhead, no flash Attachment 283470 Try to keep your background as clear of clutter as possible and have the whole area around brightly lit. But not necessarily have the light directed straight at her. Good luck! |

4 Attachment(s) I have an Olympus FE-370 it is an awesome camera! I have a lots of pics in my album on here and I will attach some new pics- my camera was about $200 with the memory card I choose through Best Buy. Anyways I will attach some new pictures of the kids. I almost always just use the iauto setting. Good luck. |
The portrait setting is the setting that focuses on the subject & blurs the background... I have Nikon cameras, but I think that any of the cameras that have a lens that does not retract into the camera takes better photos, because the larger the diameter of the lens the more light exposure into the photo... I'm not sure that I explained that very well...sorry ;( |
