Can puppys play with baby toys?? Besides the little mouse (cat toy) that Roxy loves, she also likes to play with my one year olds teething toys (or course my son does not get them back lol). They are the linking rings with the teething surface on them. Are these safe for her to play with? She is teething so I think they must eliviate some of the discomfort. |

There are some teething toys that I think are safe to use, it depends on how big you puppy is and the material of the toy. I bought something like that for Joey, and he loved them, it was hard enough that he didn't eat any plastic. Other pastic rings (not teething rings) were a different type of plastic, and he could chip into it, and eat small pieces, and you don't want this. |
I asked my dog trainer the same question... I asked my dog trainer the same question because my daughter immediately gave up a huge bucket of toys for them. She said they're not really made for dogs but agreed that it would be okay because we already let them have them. I think that if it's safe for a baby then it would be okay for a small dog but I would still be careful to make sure your dog can't break any pieces off because a dog is a lot more aggressive than a small baby and I'd be so upset for you if something happened to your dog. My dogs jump in and out of their bucket of toys...so cute! If they destroy a toy I just toss it so no one chokes...helping with the clutter...lol! |
Thanks guys! The plastic is pretty hard and so is the teething surface. She hasnt even left teeth marks so they should be ok for now. Thanks again :) |
I've given Roxie a few of these. When she did start to chew them apart a bit I'd take them away. Pacifiers are great for these little teething puppies! |
Well I will tell you , I buy alot of baby toys from Laci, they have great ones at yard sales for about 10 cents a piece, they are awesome, I bring them home throw them in the wash and she loves them.;) |
