Next doors boxer has Millies toy It took me a while but I finally gave Toby Millie's favourite squeaky toy, and he plays with it in the garden. Last nite, next doors Boxer must've jumped our fence and took it, cos my mum says he is playing with it in the next doors garden today. It is really sentimental, but I think I would just look ridiculous asking the neighbours for such a cheap toy back. I am sure he will have it destroyed by the time I get home from work. |
Well, if it was me and it wasn't destroyed, I would ask for it back. It is sentimental and you should not be ashamed of that. If they think you are a little crazy, who cares! We all are sometimes! LOL |
I would probaly ask for it back also. I had a few toys that were very special to me because they were Suri's favorite and I only like my Bella and Anakin to play with them...but sometimes my roommates dogs take them (they have already destroyed a few) and I always ask for them back or take them away. Sometimes I feel a little silly but it is important to me. |
I am sure your neighbor will understand and if not who cares?? It means something to you and thats all that matters=) |
I would ask for the toy back as well -- in fact I think I would purchase a cheap little toy and "trade" explaining that it is the sentimental value of the toy not the toy itself. |

Thanks all. I just popped in to say I got the ball back. Drama over!! He was running up and down the garden, and when I went over to the fence he came over with it. I bribed him with a bit of steak and he dropped it. Was able to reach under the fence and get it. I will get him another one though. He seems to have been playing with it all day. It is such a novelty for him to get a toy. Poor thing is outside all the time, and rarely gets any attention. He is still a pup, less than a year old. |
I would go get it most definitely...it's yours. If you feel the need to explain why,do so,but it's not nececessary to do it. Good Luck! |
