Found a playmate for Baxter, What do you think? 2 Attachment(s) :p Hi. I have always had male and female dogs. Never 2 of the same sex. I just wanted opinions on how they get along. Baxter is now 12 weeks and I found a male sweetie who is 6 months. I am attaching photos of the lil guy so I can get your opinions on his looks. (Baxter is my first Yorkie). This couple got him from breeders in Oklahoma. I am very excited to have 2!! Here are pics of him.... The first photo is when he was a baby, and the second picture is recent at 6 months. www.healthyhappypets.biz |
anyone? |
:) he is a real handsome little guy :) I have males and females, They all get along great ;) I have established the role as pack leader :p Congrats to you :) Whats his name ? :aimeeyork |
Oh Great! His name is Toby :) I am out of town, but hopefully I will get him on Wednesday. They seem to like me and said they would hold him for me til I get back. They had several interested. |
He's a cutie. I have 3 female yorkies and recently lost my female pom. They all get along except for the occassional rough play. 2 of mine are from the same breeder and get along great. They do pick on the other one but nothing serious and stop when I tell them to. They spend a lot of time snuggling. I love having multiples. I say go for it. |
He sure is cute! :) Prince and Angel had very few accidents in the house before I got Noah. Once I brought the second boy in, Prince starting marking his territory. Two years later, both boys have to wear belly bands in the house because they are in an all out marking war  They both mark at my parents' house too, but not at my brother's house. Weird. Maybe it's because they spend more time at my parents' house and consider it a second home? Prince and Angel won't play with Noah either. They are both quite a bit older than him. They were both adults when I got them and were not well socialized at all. Neither one of them knew how to play with another dog. Noah was 6 months old when I got him and lived to play so I think that irritated them a lot  Hopefully with yours being so close in age and both still puppies, you won't have the same issues I did. Good luck! :) |

When they wear their belly bands, Prince rarely pees in his and will ask to go outside. I don't think Noah cares, he'll pee in or on anything. I think there's something seriously wrong with the little monster ... err, uhm, I mean dog :p |
He's adorable :) I had two boys and 3 girls and all get along fine |
they are both adorable! I have 2 girls 1 yr and 5 yr. only regret is waiting so long to get #2. I love having my girlie girls! |
I think 2 males wouldn't be a problem, if they don't have aggressive personalities........ my little boy is a big "softy" and I wouldn't think twice about getting another male. He IS a cutie!!! :) ALso, the belly bands are a great idea...... you might want to check into getting some. |
I have 3 boys and one girl, 1 guy is perfect, no marking and 100% potty trained, now as for the other 2 boys, it's another story. They mark and will go potty in the house if that's what they feel like doing, yet sometimes they are OK, go figure. The girl is iffy, she'll tend to follow the boys. They are not aggressive towards each other unless there are toys available (blood will flow). So we solved that problem by taking away all the toys and they are only available with very strict supervision. So like some of you, two of my boys get to wear belly bands and it works out OK. |
He is adorable:) My mom has 2 males. They get along fine other than rough play at times. They are both fixed so no marking:) |
He is a cutie x |
