Do you think this is a big deal or not? Today was Tobie's first professional grooming and it's the first time I had ever been do this groomer. I guess this guy is the owner and is the only one who works there (he was the only one I saw) and he does the grooming in the front. When I walked in to pick Tobie up there was a lady waiting while he went to get her dog from the back and there was a dog left on the grooming table. I thought it was a big no-no to leave a dog unattended on the grooming table. Maybe he thought it was okay because a customer was there and if anything happened the customer could help or alert him. The guy was very nice and that was really my only complaint but do you think that's a big deal or not? Would it bother you? If you guys think it's something to worry about then I will probably try a different groomer next time. Opinions? |
Just My Opinion I would be extremely worried to see that and would not be going back to him. In my book safety is the very most important thing, cleanness of the shop is second. JMHO, I go to extremes to keep my babies safe, and I do not allow them around anyone who doesn't take at least the minimum effort to do the same, regardless of who they are, friends, family, groomers or vets. |
That is a huge NO NO  Every groomer knows that this is basic 101 groomer knowledge! never, never leave a dog on the table unattended !!! I'd be pissed . What if that were your baby? That groomer sucks. That would do it for me , right then and there. no way in heck would I be back with my dogs, Ever. Where were the rest of the groomers? he was the only groomer there? Bad sign. Poop dog that got left on the table could of jumped . |
Oh, it's a very BIG deal! Personally, I would find another groomer. If he was that careless in front of a customer, who knows what else he is careless about. |
Yeah, I was a little bit shocked when I walked in and saw that but then I started thinking about it and thought maybe I was overreacting and he did it because there was someone else in the room (the customer) but I have no idea if he would do it when there wasn't anyone else around. I really wanted to go around the desk and stand next to the dog until he got back but I did keep my eye on him the whole time. I guess I shouldn't but I do feel bad because he was really nice but I don't think we'll be back. I'm going to try someone else next time... I really wish I could find a great groomer in my area. |
